1The effects of nitrogen fertilizer application on methane and nitrous oxide emission/uptake in Chinese croplands显示文摘The application of nitrogen(N) fertilizer to increase crop yields has a significant influence on soil methane(CH_4) and nitrous oxide(N_2O) emission/uptake.A meta-analysis was carried out on the effect of N application on(i) CH_4 emissions in rice paddies,(ii) CH_4 uptake in upland fields and(iii) N_2O emissions.The responses of CH_4 emissions to N application in rice paddies were highly variable and overall no effects were found.CH_4 emissions were stimulated at low N application rates(<100 kg N ha^(-1)) but inhibited at high N rates(>200 kg N ha^(-1)) as compared to no N fertilizer(control).The response of CH_4 uptake to N application in upland fields was 15%lower than control,with a mean CH_4 uptake factor of-0.001 kg CH_4-C kg^(-1) N.The mean N_2O emission factors were 1.00 and 0.94%for maize(Zea mays) and wheat(Triticum aestivum),respectively,but significantly lower for the rice(Oryza sativa)(0.51%).Compared with controls,N addition overall increased global warming potential of CH_4 and N_2O emissions by 78%.Our result revealed that response of CH_4 emission to N input might depend on the CH_4concentration in rice paddy.The critical factors that affected CH_4 uptake and N_2O emission were N fertilizer application rate and the controls of CH_4 uptake and N_2O emission.The influences of application times,cropping systems and measurement frequency should all be considered when assessing CH_4 and N_2O emissions/uptake induced by N fertilizer.SUN Bin-feng ZHAO Hong LU Yi-zhong Lü Fei WANG Xiao-ke 2016Journal of Integrative Agriculture2016,15,2:18
2A prospective randomized antiplatelet trial of cilostazol versus clopidogrel in patients with bare metal stent显示文摘Background Cilostazol is a newly developed antiplatelet drug that has been widely applied for clinical use. Its antiplatelet action appears to be mainly related to inhibition of intracellular phosphodiesterase activity. Recently, cilostazol has been used for antiplatelet therapy after coronary bare metal stent implantation for thrombosis and restenosis prevention. This prospective randomized and double blind trial was designed to investigate the safety and efficacy of cilostazol for the prevention of late restenosis and acute or subacute stent thrombosis. Methods One hundred and twenty patients who underwent elective stent were randomly assigned to treatment group with cilostazol 200 mg/d (n = 60), clopidogrel 75 mg/d and aspirin 100 mg/d or to control group with clopidogrel treatment 75 mg/d (n = 60) and aspirin 100 mg/d. Follow-up coronary angiography was performed 6-9 months later. Results Nine months major adverse cardio-cerebral event (MACCE) were lower in treatment groups (P<0.05). The quantitative coronary angiography (QCA) at 6 months follow-up showed that minimum lumen diameter (MLD) was higher in treatment group than that of control group [(2.14±0.52)mm vs (1.82±0.36)mm, P<0.05]. Late lumen loss (LL) [(0.82±0.42)mm vs (1.31±0.58)mm; P<0.01], restenosis rate (RR) (14% vs 32%; P<0.05) and target lesion revascularizaion (TLR) rate (5% vs 17%; P<0.05) were lower in treatment group than in control group. 3Impacts of the Autumn Arctic Sea Ice on the Intraseasonal Reversal of the Winter Siberian High显示文摘During 1979–2015, the intensity of the Siberian high(SH) in November and December–January(DJ) is frequently shown to have an out-of-phase relationship, which is accompanied by opposite surface air temperature and circulation anomalies.Further analyses indicate that the autumn Arctic sea ice is important for the phase reversal of the SH. There is a significantly positive(negative) correlation between the November(DJ) SH and the September sea ice area(SIA) anomalies. It is suggested that the reduction of autumn SIA induces anomalous upward surface turbulent heat flux(SHF), which can persist into November, especially over the Barents Sea. Consequently, the enhanced eddy energy and wave activity flux are transported to mid and high latitudes. This will then benefit the development of the storm track in northeastern Europe. Conversely, when downward SHF anomalies prevail in DJ, the decreased heat flux and suppressed eddy energy hinder the growth of the storm track during DJ over the Barents Sea and Europe. Through the eddy–mean flow interaction, the strengthened(weakened)storm track activities induce decreased(increased) Ural blockings and accelerated(decelerated) westerlies, which makes the cold air from the Arctic inhibited(transported) over the Siberian area. Therefore, a weaker(stronger) SH in November(DJ) occurs downstream. Moreover, anomalously large snowfall may intensify the SH in DJ rather than in November. The ensemble-mean results from the CMIP5 historical simulations further confirm these connections. 4Reduced EGFR signaling enhances cartilage destruction in a mouse osteoarthritis model显示文摘Osteoarthritis(OA) is a degenerative joint disease and a major cause of pain and disability in older adults. We have previously identified epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR) signaling as an important regulator of cartilage matrix degradation during epiphyseal cartilage development. To study its function in OA progression, we performed surgical destabilization of the medial meniscus(DMM) to induce OA in two mouse models with reduced EGFR activity, one with genetic modification(EgfrWa5/1mice) and the other one with pharmacological inhibition(gefitinib treatment). Histological analyses and scoring at 3 months post-surgery revealed increased cartilage destruction and accelerated OA progression in both mouse models. TUNEL staining demonstrated that EGFR signaling protects chondrocytes from OA-induced apoptosis, which was further confirmed in primary chondrocyte culture. Immunohistochemistry showed increased aggrecan degradation in these mouse models, which coincides with elevated amounts of ADAMTS5 and matrix metalloproteinase 13(MMP13), the principle proteinases responsible for aggrecan degradation, in the articular cartilage after DMM surgery. Furthermore, hypoxia-inducible factor 2a(HIF2a), a critical catabolic transcription factor stimulating MMP13 expression during OA, was also upregulated in mice with reduced EGFR signaling. 5Image formation of brain function in patients suffering from knee osteoarthritis treated with moxibustion显示文摘OBJECTIVES:Functional magnetic resonance imaging(fMRI) technology was used to study changes to the resting state blood flow in the brains of patients with knee osteoarthritis(KOA) before and after treatment with moxibustion at the acupoint of the left Dubi(ST 35) and to probe the cerebral mechanism underlying the effect of moxibustion.METHODS:The resting state brain function of 30 patients with left KOA was scanned with fMRI before and after treatment with moxibustion.The analytic methods of fractional amplitude of low frequency fluctuation(fALFF) and regional homogeneity(ReHo) were used to observe changes in resting state brain function.RESULTS:The fALFF values of the right cerebrum,extra-nucleus,left cerebellum,left cerebrum and white matter of patients after moxibustion treatment were higher than before treatment,and the fALFF values of the precentral gyrus,frontal lobe and occipital lobe were lower than before treatment(P<0.05,K≥85).The ReHo values of the thalamus,extra-nucleus and parietal lobe of patients were much higher than those before moxibustion treatment,and the ReHo values of the right cerebrum,left cerebrum and frontal lobe were lower than before treatment(P<0.05,K≥85).CONCLUSION:The influence of moxibustion on obvious changes in brain regions basically conforms to the way that pain and warmth is transmitted in the body,and the activation of sensitive systems in the body may be objective evidence of channel transmission.The regulation of brain function by moxibustion is not in a single brain region but rather in a network of many brain regions.Hongwu Xie Fangming Xu Rixin Chen Tianyou Luo Mingren Chen Weidong Fang Fajin Lü Fei Wu Yune Song Jun Xiong 2013Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,2:7

7Establishment and validation of a model for brain injury state evaluation and prognosis prediction显示文摘Purpose:Traumatic brain injury(TBI)is one of the leading causes of disability and death in modern times,whose evaluation and prognosis prediction have been one of the most critical issues in TBI management.However,the existed models for the abovementioned purposes were defective to varying degrees.This study aims to establish an ideal brain injury state clinical prediction model(BISCPM).Methods:This study was a retrospective design.The six-month outcomes of patients were selected as the end point event.BISCPM was established by using the split-sample technology,and externally validated via different tests of comparison between the observed and predicted six-month mortality in validating group.TBI patients admitted from July 2006 to June 2012 were recruited and randomly divided into establishing model group and validating model group.Twenty-one scoring indicators were included in BISCPM and divided into three parts,A,B,and C.Part A included movement,pupillary reflex and diameter,CT parameters,and secondary brain insult factors,etc.Part B was age and part C was medical history of the patients.The total score of part A,B and C was final score of BISCPM.Results:Altogether 1156 TBI patients were included with 578 cases in each group.The score of BISCPM from validating group ranged from 2.75 to 31.94,averaging 13.64±5.59.There was not statistical difference between observed and predicted mortality for validating group.The discrimination validation showed that the BISCPM is superior to international mission for prognosis and analysis of clinical trials(IMPACT)lab model.Conclusion:BISCPM is an effective model for state evaluation and prognosis prediction of TBI patients.The use of BISCPM could be of great significance for decision-making in management of TBI.Xia Li Chao Lü Jun Wang Yi Wan Shu-Hui Dai Lei Zhang Xue-An Hu Xiao-Fan Jiang Zhou Fei 2020Chinese Journal of Traumatology2020,23,5:3
8Coastal erosion in Shandong of China:status and protection challenges显示文摘Shandong has more than 70% of natural coasts are under erosion.Coastal erosion started from the 1970's and became a very serious problem at 1990 's.The dramatic decrease of sediment supplies from rivers caused rapid erosion at the delta and estuary areas,especially in the abandoned Yellow River Delta.Most sandy coasts along the Peninsula were eroded due to lack of sand supply and interruption of alongshore sediment drift,sand dredging from the beach or the offshore area caused serious erosion during short time. Sea-level rise causes slow but constant shoreline retreats and became a more serious threat.Different types of hard solutions for coastal protection against erosion were used in Shandong.Seawalls are most widely used,especially at the Yellow River Delta and city center waterfront.Groynes,jetties and breakwater are used on the north and east sandy coast of the Peninsula.Hard approaches are effective to protect the coast erosion but not change the erosion causes and led secondary impact on the coast.Soft engineering solution or the combined solutions are taken into acts.Beach nourishment is mostly considered as the better soft solution,especially to those tourists attracting sandy beaches along the Shandong coast.Long term monitoring and continuous lessons learning from the coastal erosion management will be adaptive for better coast solution in the future.Ping Yin Xiao-yong Duan Fei Gao Mei-na Li Sheng-hua Lü Jian-dong Qiu Liang-yong Zhou 2018China Geology2018,1,4:3
9Characteristics of urban boundary layer in heavy haze process based on Beijing 325m tower data显示文摘2015年11月24日至2015年12月2日北京市经历了一次严重的雾霾污染过程。本文利用这次过程期间北京325米气象塔的观测资料,对重污染天气条件下的边界层风场、温度场、湿度场和湍流特征进行了分析研究。本次污染过程并未发布红色预警,但是实际的污染形势被低估了,本文也对低估原因进行了分析。结果表明:北京地区这次污染过程主要是由偏东风和偏南风引起的,11月29日高层(280米)风速增加而低层(15m)风速并未增加,且次日高层风速大幅减小,导致了对于这次污染形势的低估。风速、湍动动能和摩擦速度与PM2.5浓度呈反相关关系。在晴天,风速随高度的增加而显著增加,但在污染严重的时期,风速从近地层到塔顶的变化不是很大。湍流动能从近地层到铁塔高层的变化并不是很明显。雾霾过程通常伴随有逆温层的出现,边界层内温度的日变化很小。在严重污染时,相对湿度接近100%,此时感热通量和水汽通量也都减小,湍流活动受到抑制,湍流活动强度的减弱又会进一步加重污染形势。SHI Yu HU Fei Lü Rui HE Yuanyuan 2019Atmospheric and Oceanic Science Letters2019,12,1:2

12Effect of La on Partial Oxidation of Ethanol to Hydrogen over Ni/Fe Catalysts显示文摘The partial oxidation of ethanol to hydrogen was investigated over Ni/Fe/La catalysts prepared by the co precipitation method. The effects of introduction of La promoter and the reaction temperature on the catalytic performance were studied. It was found that the introduction of La into Ni/Fe catalysts is helpful to increase the selectivity to hydrogen and the stability of the catalysts. The results of XRD and XPS characterization show that the structure of the catalyst was changed during the reaction. 13Application of the Reactive Oxygen-Based Cervical Exfoliated Cell Staining Solution in Clinical Cervical Cancer Screening显示文摘We developed a special methylene blue solution for staining of cervix shedding cells based on catalytic oxidizing chromogenic reaction, which shows a potential for cervical cancer cytology screening. We screened a total of 1 922 women for cervical cancer with the special methylene blue staining method and a conventional Pap smear method using cervix shedding cells. Then, the patients with positive indicators of the Pap smear or this special solution staining method were examined by the electron colposcopy and histopathological examination. Staining of cervical exfoliated cells with this reactive oxygen-based special solution showed that the number of positive cases was 140(7.28%). Among them, 21 cases showed dark green(1.09%), and 119 cases showed purple black(6.19%). The results of the Pap smear method showed that the number of positive cases was 123(6.40%), of which ASCUS was 105(5.46%), ASC-H was 5(0.26%), and LSIL was 9(0.47%), and HSIL was 4(0.21%). For cervical exfoliated cell special staining solution for screening cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN-Ⅱ, CIN-Ⅲ) and cervical cancer, sensitivity was 83.33%, specificity was 65.52%, accuracy was 74.29%, missed diagnosis rate was 13.33%, positive coincidence rate was 51.43%, and the negative coincidence rate is 86.67%.
