1Studies on Human Dietary Requirements and Safe Range of Dietary Intakes of Selenium in China and Their Application in the Prevention of Related Endemic Diseases显示文摘The human dietary selenium requirement in China has been estimated by various methods. The minimum dietary selenium requircment for the prevention of Keshan disease (KD) was found to be around 17 μg/d. On the other hand, an intake of 40 μg/d is required to maintain the plasma glutathione peroxidase (GPx) activity at plateau. Hence 40 μg/d is considered as the adequate dietary selenium requirement. Studies conducted in a chronic selenosis area indicate thai the toxic dietary selenlum inlake (adverse effect level), which would maintain the characteristic fingernail changes, was approximately 1600 μg/d. The mean value of dietary selenium intakes, which enabled the five patients to recover from fingernail lesions, was found to be 819 ±126μg/d. At a 95% confidence limit, the lower limit is around 600μg/d. 3Trace Elements in Health and Diseases显示文摘Remarkable progress has occurred in many branches of biology and health sciences during the last few decades. Trace element (TE) research has definitely shared in this explosion of scientific knowledge. Due to the improvements in analytical technology, the discovery of TEs in organism was realized. The developments of TE research have been promoted by the demand of public health (e.g. deficiency or toxicity). The profound knowledge of nutritional importance of TEs has been achieved with application of advanced methods in biological, medical and chemical fields, etc. In this paper, a new definition of essentiality of TEs is introduced. According to this definition, onIy ten TEs (Fe, Zn, F, Cu, I, Se, Mn, Mo, Cr, Co) are considered to be essential to humans. The others need more evidence to prove their essentiality in humans. The recent progress on the biochemical and immunological functions of TEs and on the roles of TEs in brain development are briefly described. The TEs, mainly Se, I, Zn, Fe, are more closely related to public health. 4Synthesis of[(C_5H_5)Y(η~2-PzMe_2)(μ-PzMe_2)]_2 and [Y(η~2-PzMe_2)_2(μ-PzMe_2)(μ-THF)]_2 and the insertion of Me_2SiO into the Y-N bond显示文摘3,5-Dimethylpyrazole (HPzMe2) reacted with (C5H5)3Y in THF to yield dinuclear complexes [(C5H5)Y-(η2-PzMe2)(μ-PzMe2)]2 ( I ) and [Y(η2-PzMe2)2(μ-PzMe2)-(μ-THF)]2 (II), revealing a new method for synthesizing tris(pyrazolate) complexes of lanthanide metals. The X-ray crystallographic analysis showed that complex II crystallizes in space group P 1 , with unit cell dimensions a = 1.0798(1), b = 1.0818(1), c = 1.1313(1) nm, a = 76.914(2)°,(B = 68.940(2)°, γ= 60.510(2)°, V = 1.0715(2) nm3, Z = 1. The final R factor is 0.0445.
