| 1 | Quantitative Study on Nonmetallic Inclusion Particles in Steels by Automatic Image Analysis With Extreme Values Method显示文摘The presence of nonmetallic inclusion particles which appear during steelmaking process is harmful to the properties of steels,which is mainly as a function of some aspects such as size,volume fraction,shape,and distribution of these particles.The automatic image analysis technique is one of the most important tools for the quantitative determination of these parameters.The classical Student approach and the Extreme Values Method(EVM) were used for the inclusion size and shape determination and the evaluation of distance between the inclusion particles.The results thus obtained indicated that there were significant differences in the characteristics of the inclusion particles in the analyzed products.Both methods achieved results with some differences,indicating that EVM could be used as a faster and more reliable statistical methodology. | Cássio Barbosa José Brant de Campos Jneo Lopes do Nascimento Iêda Maria Vieira Caminha | 2009 | Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2009，16，4： | 7 |

| 3 | Relationship between skin fold thickness and insulin resistance in the essential hypertensive patients in Vietnam显示文摘Previous studies reported a close relationship between obesity and insulin resistance in the essential hypertensive patients. Objective In this study, we examined the relationship between the skin fold thickness and insulin resistance then developed a formula to estimate the insulin resistance index according to the skin fold thickness in the essential hypertensive patients. Subjects and Methods Medical records of 80 patients (37 males, 43 females) were reviewed and the data were tabulated. Anthropometric indexes (including height, weight, waist circumference, hip circumference, and skins fold thickness at 5 fatty difference points on the Erdheim diagram), fasting plasma glucose and insulin concentration were recorded. The mean age was 57.0±9.2 years. The insulin resistance index was calculated following the Homeostasis Model Assessment (HOMA) formula. Results Compared with the group with BMI<23kg/m2, the group with BMI≥23 kg/m2 had higher fasting insulin concentration (8.85 ± 4.97 pmol/L vs 15.60 ± 8.70 pmol/L, P<0.001 ) and higher insulin resistance index in (2.15±1,24 vs 3.76±2.22, P<0.001). No significant difference in fasting plasma insulin concentration,insulin resistance index between male and female was observed (P>0.05). There was a positive correlation between skin fold thickness and the fasting insulin concentration and insulin resistance index. The skin fold thickness at point A8 had the best coefficient correlated with fasting plasma insulin(r=0.79, P<0.001) and insulin resistance index (r= 0.79, P < 0.001). | 4 | Mimicking unfolding motion of a beetle hind wing显示文摘This paper presents an experimental research aiming to realize an artificial hind wing that can mimic the wing unfolding motion of Allomyrina dichotoma, an insect in coleopteran order. Based on the understanding of working principles of beetle wing folding/unfolding mechanisms, the hind wing unfolding motion is mimicked by a combination of creative ideas and state-of-art artificial muscle actuator. In this work, we devise two types of artificial wings and the successfully demonstrate that they can be unfolded by actuation of shape memory alloy wires to provide actuation force at the wing base and along the leading edge vein. | 5 | 金龟子绿僵菌分生孢子暴露在B段紫外光下毒力的降低显示文摘The UV-A and UV-B wavelengths of solar radiation may seriously reduce viability of Metarhizium anisopliae conidia,a fungus used extensively in Brazil for insect pest control.The conidial tolerances to UV-A and UV-B radiation were studied for one isolate(IBCB 425) commercially available product produced on rice grains.Aqueous or oil emulsion conidial suspensions were irradiated for 0(control),2,or 3 h using the solar simulator filtered with diacetate filter to remove UV-C radiation which afforded 652 mW·m-2 in the spectral range of 280~370 nm.The UV tolerance was based on conidial germination(viability) and virulence to Diatraea saccharalis larvae.Conidia formulated with oil emulsion had higher survival after 3 h of UV exposure,but the virulence of the conidia previously exposed to 2 h of UV radiation were similar when oil formulated or not.The mortality of D.saccharalis caterpillars exposed to non-UV-irradiated conidia was greater than that of larvae exposed to irradiated conidia,and the LT50 values were lower for the non-irradiated suspensions than for those irradiated.This apparent reduction in virulence was directly related reduction in viability or delay of germination of UV-irradiated conidia. | Edimara A Francisco Drauzio E N Rangel Newton La Scala Jr José C Barbosa Antnia do C B Correia | 2008 | 安徽农业大学学报2008，35，2： | 2 |
