1Source apportionment and ecological risk assessment of PAHs in surface sediments from the Liaodong Bay,northern China显示文摘The sources and ecological risk from sixteen polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in surface sediment in the Liaodong Bay were investigated from 2014 to 2015.The total concentrations of PAHs ranged from 88.5 to 347.1 ng/g,and the high value occurred in the central region of the Liaodong Bay.Cluster analysis identified two site clusters representing the coastal region affected by land-based pollution and the central region of the Liaodong Bay.Principal component analysis-multiple linear regression and diagnostic ratios suggested that PAHs contaminants originated from a mixture of combustion and petroleum sources,and the major was combustion sources.Based on sediment quality guideline,naphthalene,acenaphthylene,acenaphthene,phenanthrene and dibenz[a,h]anthracene may occasionally cause adverse biological effects in some stations.The toxic equivalent concentrations of carcinogenic PAHs indicated low carcinogenic risk for the Liaodong Bay.The ecological risk and toxic pollution levels of PAHs were higher in the central region than in the coastal region along the Liaodong Bay.ZHANG Yufeng WU Jinhao SONG Lun SONG Yonggang YANG Meng WANG Nianbin HAN Jiabo GUAN Daoming 2018Acta Oceanologica Sinica2018,37,4:6
2Experimental Analysis of the Performances of Unit Refrigeration Systems Based on Parallel Compressors with Consideration of the Volumetric and Isentropic Efficiency显示文摘The performances of a refrigeration unit relying on compressors working in parallel have been investigated considering the influence of the compressor volumetric efficiency and isentropic efficiency on the compression ratio.Moreover,the following influential factors have been taken into account:evaporation temperature,condensation temperature and compressor suction-exhaust pressure ratio for different opening conditions of the compressor.The following quantities have been selected as the unit performance measurement indicators:refrigeration capacity,energy efficiency ratio(COP),compressor power consumption,and refrigerant flow rate.The experimental results indicate that the system refrigeration capacity and COP decrease with a decrease in evaporation temperature,increase of condensation temperature,and increase in pressure ratio.The refrigerant flow rate increases with the increase in evaporation temperature,decrease in condensing temperature and increase in pressure ratio.The compressor power consumption increases with the increase in condensing temperature and increase in pressure ratio,but is not significantly affected by the evaporation temperature.Daoming Shen Chao Gui Jinhong Xia Songtao Xue 2020Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing2020,16,3:4
3Establishment of a high-throughput screening system for universal anti-HIV targets显示文摘The process of identifying novel human immunodeficiency virus 1 (HIV-1) inhibitors presents a challenge for industrial and scientific research.Virus-cell-based screening approaches offer some advantages in the quest for novel inhibitors because they include multiple targets in a single screen and in some cases reveal targets not captured in biochemical assays.In this study,a high-throughput screening (HTS) system for HIV-1 inhibitors was developed,which allows the simultaneous screening of all the HIV-1 targets required for replication in the cell culture.HeLa/cluster of differentiation 4 (CD4)/long terminal repeat (LTR) indicator cells,which stably expressed high levels of HIV receptor CD4 and contained the firefly luciferase reporter gene under the control of the HIV-1 LTR promoter,were generated.The expression of CD4 and LTR function in this cell line was validated by Western blot and luciferase assay.MT2 cells,a human T-cell leukemia cell line that support high levels of HIV-1 replication,were infected with HIV-1,and then the infected MT2 cells were co-cultured with HeLa/CD4/LTR cells.In the optimized assay conditions,HIV-1 replication occurs rapidly in the MT2 cells,resulting in the infection of the HeLa/CD4/LTR cells and a significant induction of luciferase signals through LTR,which is activated by the expression of HIV-1 tat gene.The luciferase signals of HeLa/CD4/LTR cells co-cultured with HIV-1 infected MT2 cells were significantly stronger than the signals of noninfected HeLa/CD4/LTR cells (P < 0.001).The inhibitory effects of HIV-1 inhibitors (3'-Azido-3'-deoxythymidine [AZT],efavirenz [EFV],and nevirapine [NVP]) were evaluated with this assay,and the inhibitory concentration 50% (IC50) values of the above three inhibitors were 58,1.4,and 85 nmol/L,respectively,indicating that the assay provides the necessary sensitivity for identifying antiviral molecules.The Z' factor had a value of 0.563,indicating this is a very robust assay.These results suggested that HIV-1 infection assay represents a novel approach to HIV-1 antiviral screening that allows for the effective execution of HTS campaigns.YIN Qi ZHUANG DaoMing JIANG YaQin ZHAO ChuanKe ZENG Xin LI ShiYou 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,10:3
4Morphology-dependent electrocatalytic performance of Fe_(2)(MoO_(4))_(3) for electro-oxidation of methanol in alkaline medium显示文摘Electrochemically synthesized nanosphere,nanorod and nanotube Fe_(2)(MoO_(4))_(3) at optimized temperature and current density are characterized with XRD,SEM,TEM,XPS.Crystal lattices of the three types Fe_(2)(MoO_(4))_(3) detected by HRTEM are well matched with the simulation analysis results from Materials Studio 6.0 based on the inorganic crystal structure database(ICSD)data and the modified XRD lattice parameters.The ratios of Fe/Mo on the surface resulted from XPS analysis are 1.47,1.63 and 2.22 respectively for nanosphere,nanorod and nanotube.The mixture of Fe_(2)(MoO_(4))_(3) with polytetrafluoroethylene dispersion are coated on glass carbon substrate as electrode for electrocatalytic performance test by cyclic voltammetries in 0.1 mol/L KOH and 1 mol/L methanol electrolyte.Methanol oxidation peak current density of the Nanotube-Fe_(2)(MoO_(4))_(3)/GCEs electrode is 3.27 mA/cm^(2) higher than 2.8 mA/cm^(2) of platinum foil electrode,which shows enhanced catalytic activity of Nanotube-Fe_(2)(MoO_(4))_(3)/GCEs.The cyclic stability in terms of peak current retention are 91%,92%and 88%respectively for Nanosphere-Fe_(2)(MoO_(4))_(3)/GCE,Nanorod-Fe_(2)(MoO_(4))_(3)/GCE and Nanotube-Fe_(2)(MoO_(4))_(3)/GCE electrode after 220 cycles.It is concluded that nanosized Fe_(2)(MoO_(4))_(3) could be promising alternative non-noble electro-catalysts for electro-oxidation of methanol in alkaline medium.Daoming Zhang Liheng Zhang Wei Zhang Mengfei Huo Jiajia Yin Guoju Dang Zhen Ren Quansheng Zhang Jingying Xie Samuel S.Mao 2017Journal of Materiomics2017,3,2:2
5A New Model for the Characterization of Frozen Soil and Related Latent Heat Effects for the Improvement of Ground Freezing Techniques and Its Experimental Verification显示文摘The correct determination of thermal parameters,such as thermal conductivity and specific heat of soil during freezing,is the most important and basic problem for the construction of an appropriate freezing method.In this study,a calculation model of three stages of soil temperature was established.At the unfrozen and frozen stages,the specific temperatures of dry soil,water,and ice are known.According to the principle of superposition,a calculation model of unfrozen and frozen soils can be established.Informed by a laboratory experiment,the latent heat of the adjacent zone was calculated for the freezing stage based on different water contents in the temperature section.Both the latent and specific heat of water,ice,and particles were calculated via superposition of the weight percentage content.A calculation model of the specific heat of the freezing stage was built,which provides both guidance and theoretical basis for the calculation of the specific heat of frozen soil.Daoming Shen Hua Si Jinhong Xia Shunqun Li 2019Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing2019,15,1:2
6Perspectives on diacylglycerol-induced improvement of insulin sensitivity in type 2 diabetes显示文摘Diacylglycerol(DAG)-based edible oils have attracted increasing research interest owing to their healthpromoting properties.Recent animal and human studies showed that an increased 1,2-DAG content in the liver and skeletal muscle may cause insulin resistance.However,earlier studies using animal models or humans reported that dietary DAGs with a 1,2-DAGs to 1,3-D AGs ratio of approximately 3:7 could improve insulin sensitivity in type 2 diabetic patients.This conflict raises the question of whether there is a link between the ingested DAGs and endogenous DAGs during their metabolism.To make a contribution to this field,this review provides an overview of the metabolic pathways of ingested DAGs and biological roles of DAGs(ingested and endogenous)in the change of insulin sensitivity.Accordingly,strategies for further investigations on the metabolism of DAGs are proposed.Daoming Li Yang Zhu Yonghua Wang Qiong Zou Jinzhu Duan Dongxiao Sun-Waterhouse Baoguo Sun 2022Food Science and Human Wellness2022,11,2:2
