2SDF-1/CXCR4 axis modulates bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell apoptosis, migration and cytokine secretion显示文摘Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)are considered as a promising cell source to treat the acute myocardial infarction.However,over 90%of the stem cells usually die in the first three days of transplantation.Survival potential,migration ability and paracrine capacity have been considered as the most important three factors for cell transplantation in the ischemic cardiac treatment.We hypothesized that stromal-derived factor-1(SDF-1)/CXCR4 axis plays a critical role in the regulation of these processes.In this study,apoptosis was induced by exposure of MSCs to H2O2 for 2 h.After re-oxygenation,the SDF-1 pretreated MSCs demonstrated a significant increase in survival and proliferation.SDF-1 pretreatment also enhanced the migration and increased the secretion of pro-survival and angiogenic cytokines including basic fibroblast growth factor and vascular endothelial growth factor.Western blot and RT-PCR demonstrated that SDF-1 pretreatment significantly activated the pro-survival Akt and Erk signaling pathways and up-regulated Bcl-2/Bax ratio.These protective effects were partially inhibited by AMD3100,an antagonist of CXCR4.We conclude that the SDF-1/CXCR4 axis is critical for MSC survival,migration and cytokine secretion.Xiaolei Liu Biyan Duan Zhaokang Cheng Xiaohua Jia Lina Mao Hao Fu Yongzhe Che Lailiang Ou Lin Liu Deling Kong 2011Protein & Cell2011,2,10:53

7Chinese guidelines on management of hepatic encephalopathy in cirrhosis显示文摘The Chinese Society of Hepatology developed the current guidelines on the management of hepatic encephalopathy in cirrhosis based on the published evidence and the panelists’ consensus. The guidelines provided recommendations for the diagnosis and management of hepatic encephalopathy (HE) including minimal hepatic encephalopathy (MHE) and overt hepatic encephalopathy, emphasizing the importance on screening MHE in patients with end-stage liver diseases. The guidelines emphasized that early identification and timely treatment are the key to improve the prognosis of HE. 9Effects of melatonin implantation on cashmere yield,fibre characteristics,duration of cashmere growth as well as growth and reproductive performance of Inner Mongolian cashmere goats显示文摘Background:Exogenous melatonin could induce cashmere growth.However,induced growth of cashmere fleece by melatonin implants cannot be combined with the typical growth,resulting in earlier shedding followed by another cycle of cashmere growth.To address this issue,we examine the effects on the cashmere yield,fibre characteristics,and the growth and reproductive performance of cashmere goats of planned administration of melatonin.Methods:Eighteen half-sib,female goats were assigned to two treatments(n = 9) including a control and a treatment where melatonin(2 mg/kg BW) was implanted at the end of April and end of June.Cashmere growth and shedding were observed for approximately 1 year following implantation.Fibre samples were collected monthly to determine cumulative cashmere length.Initiation and cessation dates for cashmere growth as well as the rate of cashmere growth were calculated.Cashmere yield,weight gain of dam,kidding date,litter size,and birth weight were also recorded.Results:Melatonin implantation increased cashmere yield by 34.5%(control 553.7 g vs.melatonin 745.0 g;P< 0.01),cashmere length by 21.3%(control 95.2 mm vs.melatonin 115.4 mm;P < 0.01),and decreased fibre diameter by 4.4%(control 14.6 μm vs.melatonin 14.0 μm;P < 0.03).In melatonin-treated goats,the average initiation date was earlier than in control goats(May 18,2013 vs.July 2,2013;P< 0.01) but there was a similar cessation date(March 22,2014 vs.March 27,2014).Consequently,the duration of cashmere growth was longer in melatonin-treated goats than in control goats(307 vs.270 days;P< 0.01).The final BW,average daily gain,kidding date,litter size,and birth weight were not influenced by melatonin implantation.Conclusions:These data indicate that melatonin implantation(2 mg/kg BW) on two occasions(late April and June)increased cashmere yield by combining the induced growth of cashmere fleece with the typical growth and decreased the fibre diameter without changing dam growth rate or reproductive performance.Chunhui Duan Jianhai Xu Changmian Sun Zhihai Jia Wei Zhang 2015Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2015,6,4:18

12Exosomes derived from bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells protect the injured spinal cord by inhibiting pericyte pyroptosis显示文摘Mesenchymal stem cell(MSC)transplantation is a promising treatment strategy for spinal cord injury,but immunological rejection and possible tumor formation limit its application.The therapeutic effects of MSCs mainly depend on their release of soluble paracrine factors.Exosomes are essential for the secretion of these paracrine effectors.Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes(BMSC-EXOs)can be substituted for BMSCs in cell transplantation.However,the underlying mechanisms remain unclear.In this study,a rat model of T10 spinal cord injury was established using the impact method.Then,30 minutes and 1 day after spinal cord injury,the rats were administered 200μL exosomes via the tail vein(200μg/mL;approximately 1×106 BMSCs).Treatment with BMSC-EXOs greatly reduced neuronal cell death,improved myelin arrangement and reduced myelin loss,increased pericyte/endothelial cell coverage on the vascular wall,decreased bloodspinal cord barrier leakage,reduced caspase 1 expression,inhibited interleukin-1βrelease,and accelerated locomotor functional recovery in rats with spinal cord injury.In the cell culture experiment,pericytes were treated with interferon-γand tumor necrosis factor-α.Then,Lipofectamine 3000 was used to deliver lipopolysaccharide into the cells,and the cells were co-incubated with adenosine triphosphate to simulate injury in vitro.Pre-treatment with BMSC-EXOs for 8 hours greatly reduced pericyte pyroptosis and increased pericyte survival rate.These findings suggest that BMSC-EXOs may protect pericytes by inhibiting pyroptosis and by improving blood-spinal cord barrier integrity,thereby promoting the survival of neurons and the extension of nerve fibers,and ultimately improving motor function in rats with spinal cord injury.All protocols were conducted with the approval of the Animal Ethics Committee of Zhengzhou University on March 16,2019.Yan Zhou Lu-Lu Wen Yan-Fei Li Kai-Min Wu Ran-Ran Duan Yao-Bing Yao Li-Jun Jing Zhe Gong Jun-Fang Teng Yan-Jie Jia 2022Neural Regeneration Research2022,17,1:15

14Preparation and anisotropic properties of textured structural ceramics: A review显示文摘Ceramics are usually composed of randomly oriented grains and intergranular phases, so their properties are the statistical average along each direction and show isotropy corresponding to the uniform microstructures. Some methods have been developed to achieve directional grain arrangement and preferred orientation growth during ceramic preparation, and then textured ceramics with anisotropic properties are obtained. Texture microstructures give particular properties to ceramics along specific directions, which can effectively expand their application fields. In this review, typical texturing techniques suitable for ceramic materials, such as hot working, magnetic alignment, and templated grain growth(TGG), are discussed. 18Progress of a novel non-oxide Si-B-C-N ceramic and its matrix composites显示文摘In the past twenty years,Si-B-C-N ceramic has attracted wide attention due to its special structure and outstanding properties.The ceramic generally has an amorphous or a nano-crystalline structure,and has excellent structural stability,oxidation resistance,creep resistance and high-temperature mechanical properties,etc.Thus,Si-B-C-N ceramic attracts many researchers and finds potential applications in transportation,aerocraft,energy,information,microelectronics and environment,etc.Much work has been carried out on its raw materials,preparation processes,structural evolution,phase equilibrium and high-temperature properties.In recent years,many researchers focus on its new preparation methods,the preparation of dense ceramic sample with large dimensions,ceramic matrix composites reinforced by carbon fiber or SiC whisker,or components with various applications.Research on Si-B-C-N ceramic will develop our insight into the relationship between structures and properties of ceramics,and will be helpful to the development of novel high-performance ceramics.This paper reviews the preparation processes,general microstructures,mechanical,chemical,electrical and optical properties,and potential applications of Si-B-C-N ceramic,as well as its matrix composites.Pengfei ZHANG Dechang JIA Zhihua YANG Xiaoming DUAN Yu ZHOU 2012Journal of Advanced Ceramics2012,1,3:11
19Treatment of hyperbilirubinemia with blood purification in China显示文摘The incidence of hyperbilirubinemia is high clinically, which is difficult to cure by medication, surgery or interventional therapies. Non-bioartificial liver is the main alternative in the blood purification for hyperbilirubinemia, which includes plasma exchange, hemoperfusion, hemodialysis, molecular adsorbent recycling system and so on. The research results and clinical experiences in China show that these methods are effective in lowering high levels of bilirubin with fewer side effects. The hyperbilirubinemias of different causes, with different complications or accompanying different diseases can be treated by different methods. Bioartificial liver, hybrid artificial liver support system and adsorbent membrane material have also been studied and their development in reducing hyperbilirubinemias has been achieved. 20Milling surface roughness for 7050 aluminum alloy cavity influenced by nozzle position of nanofluid minimum quantity lubrication显示文摘In nanofluid minimum quantity lubrication(NMQL)milling of aviation aluminum alloy,it is the bottleneck problem to adjust the position parameters(target distance,incidence angle,and elevation angle)of the nozzle to improve the surface roughness of milling,which has large and uncontrollable errors.In this paper,the influence law of milling cutter speed,helical angle,and cavity shape on the flow field around the milling cutter was studied,and the optimal nozzle profile parameters were obtained.Using 7050 aluminum alloy as the workpiece material,the milling experiment of the NMQL cavity was conducted by utilizing cottonseed oil-based Al2 O3 nanofluid.Results show that the high velocity of the surrounding air flow field and the strong gas barrier could be attributed to high rotating velocities of the milling cutter.The incidence angle of the nozzle was consistent with the helical angle of the milling cutter,the target distance was appropriate at 25–30 mm,and the elevation angle was suitable at 60°–65°.The range and variance analyses of the signal-to-noise ratio of milling force and roughness were performed,and the chip morphology was observed and analyzed.The results show that the optimal combination of nozzle position parameters was the target distance of 30 mm,the incidence angle of 35°,and the elevation angle of 60°.Among these parameters,target distance had the largest impact on cutting performance with a contribution rate of more than 55%,followed by incidence angle and elevation contribution rate.Analysis by orthogonal experiment revealed that the nozzle position parameters were appropriate,and Ra(0.087 lm)was reduced by 30.4%from the maximum value(0.125 lm).Moreover,Rsm(0.05 mm)was minimum,which was 36%lower than that of the seventh group(Rsm=0.078 mm).Zhenjing DUAN Changhe LI Yanbin ZHANG Lan DONG Xiufang BAI Min YANG Dongzhou JIA Runze LI Huajun CAO Xuefeng XU 2021Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,6:10
