1On the Application of PCA Technique to Fault Diagnosis显示文摘In this paper, we briefly address the application of the standard principal component analysis (PCA) technique to fault detection and identification. Based on an analysis of the existing test statistic, we propose a new test statistic, which is similar to the Hawkin’s TH 2 statistic but without the numerical drawback. In comparison with the SPE index, the threshold setting associated with the new statistic is computationally simpler. Our further study is dedicated to the analysis of fault sensitivity. We consider the off-set and scaling faults, and evaluate the test statistic by viewing its sensitivity to the faults. Our final study focuses on identifying off-set and scaling faults. To this end, two algorithms are proposed. 2Elevated serum alpha fetoprotein levels promote pathological progression of hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘AIM:To investigate the biological role of alpha fetoprotein (AFP) and its clinical signif icance in carcinogenesis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).METHODS:Clinical analysis of HCC patients and im-munohistochemical examination were conducted to evaluate the relationship between serum AFP level and patient mortality. Confocal microscopy,Western blotting, dimethylthiahzolyl-2,5-diphenyl-tetrazolium bromide,Cell Counting Kit-8 assays and flow cytometry were performed to explore the possible mechanism.RESULTS: Among the 160 HCC patients enrolled in this study,130 patients survived 2 years (81.25%),with a survival rate of 86.8% in AFP < 2 0 μg/L group,88.9% in AFP 20-250 μg/L group,and 69.6% in AFP > 250 μg/L group, demonstrating a higher mortality rate in HCC patients with higher AFP levels. Surgical treatment was benef icial only in patients with low AFP levels.The mortality rate of HCC patients with high AFP levels who were treated surgically was apparently higher than those treated with conservative management.The results of immunohistochemistry showed that AFP and AFP receptor were merely expressed in tissues of HCC patients with positive serum AFP.Consistently,in vitro analysis showed that AFP and AFPS were expressed in HepG2 but not in HLE cells. AFP showed a capability to promote cell growth,and this was more apparent in HepG2 cells,in which the proliferation was increased by 3.5 folds. 5New advances in molecular mechanisms and emerging therapeutic targets in alcoholic liver diseases显示文摘Alcoholic liver disease is a major health problem in the United States and worldwide. Chronic alcohol consumption can cause steatosis, inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and even liver cancer. Significant progress has been made to understand key events and molecular players for the onset and progression of alcoholic liver disease from both experimental and clinical alcohol studies. No successful treatments are currently available for treating alcoholic liver disease; therefore, development of novel pathophysiological-targeted therapies is urgently needed. This review summarizes the recent progress on animal models used to study alcoholic liver disease and the detrimental factors that contribute to alcoholic liver disease pathogenesis including miRNAs, S-adenosylmethionine, Zinc deficiency, cytosolic lipin-1β, IRF3-mediated apoptosis, RIP3-mediated necrosis and hepcidin. 6Physicochemical and Sensory Properties of japonica Rice Varied with Production Areas in China显示文摘Northeast of China and Jiangsu Province are major production areas of japonica rice in China.Rice from northeast of China is well-known for its good-eating and appearance quality,and that from Jiangsu Province is viewed as inferior.However,little is known concerning the difference in physicochemical and sensory properties of rice between the major two production areas.Analysis of 16 commercial rice samples showed marked differences in physicochemical properties,including chalky grain rate,contents of amylose and protein and pasting properties between the two main areas.Northeastern rice contained more shortchain amylopectin as compared with Jiangsu rice.However,Jiangsu rice is comparable to northeastern rice in terms of sensory quality including overall acceptability and textural properties of springiness,stickiness and hardness as evaluated by trained panel.Our results indicated the limitation of conventional index of physicochemical properties,and suggested the necessity of identification of new factors controlling rice sensory property.In addition,the taste analyzer from Japan demonstrates limitation in distinguishing the differences between northeastern and Jiangsu rice,and therefore needs localization to fit China.YANG Xiao-yu LIN Zhao-miao LIU Zheng-hui Md A Alim BI Jun-guo LI Gang-hua WANG Qiang-sheng WANG Shao-hua DING Yan-feng 2013Journal of Integrative Agriculture2013,12,10:8

9Predicting defect behavior in B2 intermetallics by merging ab initio modeling and machine learning显示文摘We present a combination of machine learning and high throughput calculations to predict the points defects behavior in binary intermetallic(A–B)compounds,using as an example systems with the cubic B2 crystal structure(with equiatomic AB stoichiometry).To the best of our knowledge,this work is the first application of machine learning-models for point defect properties.High throughput first principles density functional calculations have been employed to compute intrinsic point defect energies in 100 B2 intermetallic compounds.The systems are classified into two groups:(i)those for which the intrinsic defects are antisites for both A and B rich compositions,and(ii)those for which vacancies are the dominant defect for either or both composition ranges.The data was analyzed by machine learning-techniques using decision tree,and full and reduced multiple additive regression tree(MART)models.Among these three schemes,a reduced MART(r-MART)model using six descriptors(formation energy,minimum and difference of electron densities at the Wigner–Seitz cell boundary,atomic radius difference,maximal atomic number and maximal electronegativity)presents the highest fit(98%)and predictive(75%)accuracy.This model is used to predict the defect behavior of other B2 compounds,and it is found that 45%of the compounds considered feature vacancies as dominant defects for either A or B rich compositions(or both).The ability to predict dominant defect types is important for the modeling of thermodynamic and kinetic properties of intermetallic compounds,and the present results illustrate how this information can be derived using modern tools combining high throughput calculations and data analytics.Bharat Medasani Anthony Gamst Hong Ding Wei Chen Kristin A Persson Mark Asta Andrew Canning Maciej Haranczyk 2016npj Computational Materials2016,,1:6

11A potential red-emitting phosphor Ca_(2)YTaO_(6):Eu^(3+):Luminescence properties,thermal stability and applications for white LEDs显示文摘A novel red-emitting phosphor tantalate Ca_(2)YTaO_(6):Eu^(3+)was synthesized by a solid-state reaction.The purity and surface morphology of the phosphors were characterized.The Ca_(2)YTaO_(6):Eu^(3+)phosphors show a sharp emission peak at 612 nm under near-ultraviolet(n-UV) at 395 nm because of the ^(5)D0→^(7)F_(2) transition of Eu^(3+).The optimal Eu^(3+)doping concentration in Ca_(2)YTaO_(6) is 40 mol% and the critical energy-transfer distance of Eu^(3+)ions was calculated to be 0.9 nm.The emission spectra of Ca_(2)YTaO_(6):Eu_(3+)from 300 to 480 K were investigated.The thermal-quenching temperature(T_(0.5)) of Ca_(2)YTaO_(6):Eu^(3+)is above 480 K.The color purity of Ca_(2)YTaO_(6):40 mol%Eu^(3+)is as high as 99.8%.The luminescence lifetime of Ca_(2)YTaO_(6):40 mol%Eu^(3+)was also discussed.The high color purity and high thermal stability of Eu^(3+)-doped Ca_(2)YTaO_(6) phosphors contribute to its application value in white lightemitting diodes(w-LEDs).Ka Ding Siru A Shuo Pang Leyan Shan Yaqi Zhang Pengfei Sun Bin Deng Ruijin Yu 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,7:4
12A geomorphological response of beaches to Typhoon Meari in the eastern Shandong Peninsula in China显示文摘Eight representative beach profiles on the eastern coast of the Shandong Peninsula are observed and measured in2011 and 2012 to determine the coastal processes under the lower tropical wind speed condition and the beach response to and recovery from the tropical storm Meari in a rare typhoon region. The results show that it is the enhancement and directional change of cross-shore and longshore sediment transports caused by Meari that leads to the beach morphological changes, and most of the sediment transports occur during the pre-Meari landing phase. The erosional scarp formation and the berm or beach face erosion are the main geomorphological responses of the beaches to the storm. The storm characteristics are more important than the beach shapes in the storm response process of the beaches on Shandong Peninsula. 13THE BENCHMARK LAND PRICE SYSTEM AND URBANLAND USE EFFICIENCY IN CHINA显示文摘ABSTRACT: China began to introduce market principles and establish price mechanism to better manage land and improve land use efficiency in the late 1980s. Since then, land markets begin to emerge. A benchmark land price system, providing guidelines for land use rights selling and transferring, was established in order to overcome lack of market data and experiences in land transaction. The benchmark prices of land use rights are determined by land use, land use density (floor-land ratio), land grades, land improvement, and tenant resettlement costs. This paper first conducts a formal analysis based on modern urban economic theory. The formal model provides a theoretical foundation in which the benchmark land price system is assessed and evaluated in terms of land use and urban development. The paper then concludes that the benchmark price system has two theoretical problems. One is associated with the fact that floor-land ratio plays an important role in land price determination whereas the theory suggests the other way around. That is, floor-land ratio depends on land prices. The other problem is that the benchmark land price system does not provide adequate room for the substitution between land and capital inputs. The substitution is a key in achieving land use efficiency in land markets and urban development process. It is concluded that the practice of the benchmark land price system is at odd with reforms that aim to introduce market principles and mechanism to guide resource uses. 14Recovery of neodymium,dysprosium,and cobalt from NdFeB magnet leachate using an unsymmetrical dialkylphosphinic acid extractant,INET-3显示文摘Rare earths (REs) and Co are critical strategic resources.Their recovery is crucial for ensuring that their supplies are adequate and for reducing environmental pollution.End-of-life NdFeB magnets are important secondary RE sources.The separation of Dy,Nd,and Co from NdFeB leachate using a relatively new extractant (2,3-dimethylbutyl)(2,4,4’-trimethylpentyl)phosphinic acid (INET-3),was investigated in this study.The separation parameters,such as equilibrium pH,phase ratio,INET-3 concentration,and number of counter-current extraction stages,were optimised.The results show that INET-3 can separate Dy,Nd,and Co efficiently.For the preferential extraction of Dy from synthetic iron-free NdFeB leachate,the optimum equilibrium pH is 2.60.Under this condition,separation of Dy from the leachate requires four counter-current extraction stages at A/O (volume ratio of aqueous to organic)=1:2.This is demonstrated by a simulated four-stage counter-current extraction process.At equilibrium pH=2.52and A/O=1:2,98%of Dy is recovered with 95%purity.As to the subsequent separation of Nd from the leachate,nearly 100%is recovered with 99%purity through a simulated three-stage counter-current extraction process at equilibrium pH=5.33 and A/O=1:1.Approximately 95%of Co remains in the raffinate with 99.98%purity.Zhengyu Liu a Jiaming Wu a Xinyu Liu Wen Wanga Ziwei Li Ruijing Xu Yue Ding Junlian Wang 2020Journal of Rare Earths2020,38,10:3

16Effect of Nitric Oxide on Alleviating Cadmium Toxicity in Rice (Oryza sativa L.)显示文摘Nitric oxide (NO) is a gaseous signaling molecule in plants that plays a key role in mediating a wide range of physiological processes and responses to biotic and abiotic stresses. The present study was conducted to investigate the effects of the exogenous application of sodium nitroprusside (SNP), an NO donor, on cadmium (Cd)-induced oxidative stress and Cd uptake in rice plants. Rice plants were exposed to Cd stress (0.2 mmol L^(-1) CdCl_2) and different concentrations of SNP (0.05, 0.1, 0.2, and 0.4 mmol L^(-1)). A SNP concentration of 0.1 mmol L^(-1) (SNP10) significantly reduced the Cd-induced decrease in shoot and root dry weights and leaf chlorophyll concentrations. The addition of NO also reduced the malondialdehyde (MDA), hydrogen peroxide (H_2O_2) and ascorbic acid (ASA) concentrations. However, the reduction in glutathione (GSH) concentration was inhibited by NO treatment. Moreover, NO prevented the Cd-induced increase in antioxidative enzyme activity. The amount of Cd accumulation in rice plants was also influenced by the addition of NO. The NO supplied by the SNP enhanced the Cd tolerance of the rice by increasing the Cd uptake by the roots and decreasing the Cd accumulation by the shoots. However, the application of potassium ferrocyanide (Cd+Fe) or sodium nitrate and nitrite (Cd+N) (without NO release), did not exhibit the effects of the SNP. Furthermore, the effects of the SNP were reversed by the addition of hemoglobin (an NO scavenger).
