| 2 | 睾酮缺乏症的诊断和治疗显示文摘近些年来,随着睾酮缺乏症(TD)发病率的上升、新药的不断开发、以及商业推广的深入,睾酮替代疗法(TST)的临床应用显著增多。然而,关于睾酮缺乏症的诊断标准以及TST的应用和监测,仍然不是很明确。此种现象主要源于睾酮的多重作用靶点。在人体内,睾酮参与了很多生理过程的调节,同时睾酮的表达水平也受很多疾病及药物的影响。因此,睾酮缺乏症的临床症状和体征具有多样性和非特异性,也就增加了睾酮缺乏症的诊断难度,尤其在老年人群中。临床上,关于血清睾酮水平的检测也存在争议,不同实验室之间存在一定的差异,因此也很难界定睾酮水平的诊断标准。很多医学专业组织试图制定睾酮缺乏症的诊断指南,但彼此间很难达成统一。另外,临床使用的睾酮制剂也层出不穷,相应的TST治疗方案也像TD的诊断标准一样不断更新和变化。临床上,随着TST的不断推进,专科医师必须不断更新对于TD和HTST的了解和治疗及应用。本文旨在阐述TD的最新概念及其诊断和治疗的新进展。 | James A McBride Culley C Carson Robert M Coward | 2015 | Asian Journal of Andrology2015,17,2: | 5 |
| 3 | Human viral pathogens are pervasive in wastewater treatment center aerosols显示文摘Wastewater treatment center(WTC) workers may be vulnerable to diseases caused by viruses, such as the common cold, influenza and gastro-intestinal infections. Although there is a substantial body of literature characterizing the microbial community found in wastewater, only a few studies have characterized the viral component of WTC aerosols,despite the fact that most diseases affecting WTC workers are of viral origin and that some of these viruses are transmitted through the air. In this study, we evaluated in four WTCs the presence of 11 viral pathogens of particular concern in this milieu and used a metagenomic approach to characterize the total viral community in the air of one of those WTCs. The presence of viruses in aerosols in different locations of individual WTCs was evaluated and the results obtained with four commonly used air samplers were compared.We detected four of the eleven viruses tested, including human adenovirus(h Ad V),rotavirus, hepatitis A virus(HAV) and Herpes Simplex virus type 1(HSV1). | 4 | 相对湿度变化对泪液蒸发变化的影响及其相关性研究显示文摘PURPOSE:To establish scientific relationship between relative humidity(RH)and aqueous tear evaporation to elucidate possible significance of this relationship in normals and aqueous tear deficiency patients.DESIGN:Prospective xperimental laboratory study.METHODS:Ocular surface evaporation was determined using evaporometry and calculated for two ranges of RH,25% to 35%,and 35% to 45% in a randomized clinical patient population.RESULTS:Average evaporative rate in the higher humidity range was between 0.029± 0.009 through 0.043± 0.016 μ l/cm2/min.At lower humidity,range was between 0.044± 0.013 through 0.058± 0.018 μ l/cm2/min.Differences in the corresponding evaporative rates were statistically significant(between P<.003 through P<.043)for each analysis.CONCLUSIONS:A decrease of 10% RH resulted in an average difference of between 28.33% to 59.42% increase in evaporation.The increase in evaporation at lower humidity has significant clinical implications for patients with aqueous deficient dry eyes,and possibly those undergoing laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis(LASIK). | Mc Culley J.
