2Engineering of drug nanoparticles by HGCP for pharmaceutical applications显示文摘This paper reviews our work on the fundamental principles of high gravity controlled precipitation (HGCP) technology, and its applications in the production of drug nanoparticles, which was carried out in a rotating packed bed (RPB). Several kinds of drug nanoparticles with narrow particle size distributions (PSDs) were successfully prepared via HGCP, including the 300-nm Cefuroxime Axetil (CFA) particles, 200–400-nm cephradine particles, 500-nm salbutamol sulfate (SS) particles (100 nm in width), and 850-nm beclomethasone dipropionate (BDP) particles, etc. Compared to drugs available in the current market, all the drug nanoparticles produced by HGCP exhibited advantages in both formulation and drug delivery, thus improving the bioavailability of drugs. HGCP is essentially a platform technology for the preparation of poorly water-soluble drug nanoparticles for oral and injection delivery, and of inhalable drugs for pulmonary delivery. 3A simple method for the isolation and purification of resveratrol from Polygonum cuspidatum显示文摘Resveratrol, a polyphenol compound with strong biological activity, has been widely used in medicine, health products and cosmetic industries. It is also the main active component of Polygonum cuspidatum, a well-known traditional Chinese medicine. We developed a simple and effective method for the preparation of resveratrol from P. cuspidatum. The whole preparative process consisted of reflux extraction, filtering, hydrolyzing, liquid-liquid extraction and eluting. Filtering is to remove non polar or less polar compounds and debris fragments from the extract. Hydrolyzing is to transform polydatin to resveratrol to improve the yield of resveratrol. Eluting is to remove impurities including strong acidic and water-soluble compounds. By acid hydrolysis of glycoside (polydatin), the yield of resveratrol increased about 4-fold. The extraction recovery in different stages was high, and the content of resveratrol in the final product was over 73.8%. 5A novel business analytics approach and case study-fuzzy associative classifier based on information gain and rule-covering显示文摘Associative classification has attracted remarkable research attention for business analytics in recent years due to its merits in accuracy and understandability.It is deemed meaningful to construct an associative classifier with a compact set of rules(i.e.,compactness),which is easy to understand and use in decision making.This paper presents a novel approach to fuzzy associative classification(namely Gain-based Fuzzy Rule-Covering classification,GFRC),which is a fuzzy extension of an effective classifier GARC.In GFRC,two desirable strategies are introduced to enhance the compactness with accuracy.One strategy is fuzzy partitioning for data discretization to cope with the‘sharp boundary problem’,in that simulated annealing is incorporated based on the information entropy measure;the other strategy is a data-redundancy resolution coupled with the rulecovering treatment.Data experiments show that GFRC had good accuracy,and was significantly advantageous over other classifiers in compactness.Moreover,GFRC is applied to a real-world case for predicting the growth of sellers in an electronic marketplace,illustrating the classification effectiveness with linguistic rules in business decision support.Yue Ma Guoqing Chena Qiang Wei 2014Journal of Management Analytics2014,1,1:2
6Examining effective use of data sources and modeling algorithms for improving biomass estimation in a moist tropical forest of the Brazilian Amazon显示文摘Previous research has explored the potential to integrate lidar and optical data in aboveground biomass(AGB)estimation,but how different data sources,vegetation types,and modeling algorithms influence AGB estimation is poorly understood.This research conducts a comparative analysis of different data sources and modeling approaches in improving AGB estimation.RapidEye-based spectral responses and textures,lidar-derived metrics,and their combination were used to develop AGB estimation models.The results indicated that(1)overall,RapidEye data are not suitable for AGB estimation,but when AGB falls within 50–150 Mg/ha,support vector regression based on stratification of vegetation types provided good AGB estimation;(2)Lidar data provided stable and better estimations than RapidEye data;and stratification of vegetation types cannot improve estimation;(3)The combination of lidar and RapidEye data cannot provide better performance than lidar data alone;(4)AGB ranges affect the selection of the best AGB models,and a combination of different estimation results from the best model for each AGB range can improve AGB estimation;(5)This research implies that an optimal procedure for AGB estimation for a specific study exists,depending on the careful selection of data sources,modeling algorithms,forest types,and AGB ranges.Yunyun Feng Dengsheng Lu Qi Chena Michael Keller Emilio Moran Maiza Nara dos-Santos Edson Luis Bolfe Mateus Batistella 2017International Journal of Digital Earth2017,10,10:2
7Ultrawideband chromatic aberration-free meta-mirrors显示文摘Chromatic aberration-free meta-devices(e.g.,achromatic meta-devices and abnormal chromatic meta-devices)play an essential role in modern science and technology.However,current efforts suffer the issues of low efficiency,narrow operating band,and limited wavefront manipulation capability.We propose a general strategy to design chromatic aberration-free meta-devices with high-efficiency and ultrabroadband properties,which is realized by satisfying the key criteria of desirable phase dispersion and high reflection amplitudes at the target frequency interval.The phase dispersion is tuned successfully based on a multiresonant Lorentz model,and high reflection is guaranteed by the presence of the metallic ground.As proof of the concept,two microwave meta-devices are designed,fabricated,and experimentally characterized.An achromatic meta-mirror is proposed within 8 to 12 GHz,and another abnormal chromatic meta-mirror can tune the reflection angle as a linear function.Both meta-mirrors exhibit very high efficiencies(85%to 94%in the frequency band).Our findings open a door to realize chromatic aberration-free meta-devices with high efficiency and wideband properties and stimulate the realizations of chromatic aberration-free metadevices with other functionalities or working at higher frequency.Tong Cai Shiwei Tang Bin Zheng Guangming Wang Wenye Ji Chao Qian Zuojia Wang Erping Li Hongsheng Chena 2021Advanced Photonics2021,3,1:2

9Novel polymer acceptors achieving 10.18% efficiency for all-polymer solar cells显示文摘Polymer acceptors based on extended fused ring p skeleton has been proven to be promising candidates for all-polymer solar cells(all-PSCs), due to their remarkable improved light absorption than the traditional imide-based polymer acceptors. To expand structural diversity of the polymer acceptors, herein,two polymer acceptors PSF-IDIC and PSi-IDIC with extended fused ring p skeleton are developed by copolymerization of 2,20-((2 Z,20 Z)-((4,4,9,9-tetrahexadecyl-4,9-dihydro-s-indaceno [1,2-b:5,6-b']dithio phene-2,7-diyl)bis(methanylylidene))bis(3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1 H-indene-2,1-diylidene))dimalononitrile(IDIC-C16) block with sulfur(S) and fluorine(F) functionalized benzodithiophene(BDT) unit and silicon(Si) atom functionalized BDT unit, respectively. Both polymer acceptors exhibit strong light absorption.The PSF-IDIC exhibits similar energy levels and slightly higher absorption coefficient relative to the PSi-IDIC. After blended with the donor polymer PM6, the functional atoms on the polymer acceptors show quite different effect on the device performance. Both of the acceptors deliver a notably high open circuit voltage(V_(OC)) of the devices, but PSi-IDIC achieves higher V OCthan PSF-IDIC. All-PSC based on PM6:PSi-IDIC attains a power conversion efficiency(PCE) of 8.29%, while PM6:PSF-IDIC-based device achieves a much higher PCE of 10.18%, which is one of the highest values for the all-PSCs reported so far. The superior device performance of PM6:PSF-IDIC is attributed to its higher exciton dissociation and charge transport, decreased charge recombination, and optimized morphology than PM6:PSi-IDIC counterpart.
