1Cleaner Production of Wheat Straw Pulp HUANG显示文摘A pulping method using NH4OH with less amount of KOH as cooking liquor on wheat straw was developed. KOH could reduce consumption of NH3 and cooking time for its strong alkalinity. The effects of various pulping conditions such as composition of cooking liquor, liquid-to-solid ratio, maximum temperature, cooking time to the maximum temperature and cooking time at the maximum temperature were studied. Experimental results indicated that the rate of delignification was 85.12% and the pulp yield was 49.65% under suitable pulping conditions. It looks promising to use black liquor containing nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and organic substance as fertilizer resources for agricultural production. 6Preparation and Characterization of Some Ferrites from CuO-ZnO-Fe_2O_3 Mixtures显示文摘The ferrites of Cuo-ZnO-Fe2o3 solid solution series near the molar ratio of ZnxCu1-x were prepared by direct heating of their coprecipitated hydroxides using NH4OH as precipitating agent where x=0.0, 0.2, 0.5, 0.8 and 1.0. Additional amounts of Cu and Zn sulphates were added to compensate the loss during the coprecipitation of the hydroxides. The ferritized samples were characterized by chemical analysis, XRD. DTA, TGA and SEM. XRD of both Zn0.2Cu0.8Fe2O4 and Zn0.5Cu0.5 Fe2O4 that indicates the formation of a heterogeneous ferrite material of ZnFe2O4 and CuFe2O4 mixed with variable amounts of α-Fe2O3. Zn and Cu ferrites were observed only in Zn0.8Cu0.2Fe2O4.From TGA-time relation, the activation energy of the different transformation phases were calculated. It is found that, the activation energy of ZnFe2O4 is slightly equal to 3/2 of that for CuFe2O4. 7The Use of Fractal for Prediction of Burning Rate of Composite Solid Propellants显示文摘By using the fractal geometry it is possible to calculate the actual AP (Ammonium Perchlorate) surface area and oxidizer-binder interface fractal dimension in the prediction of burning rate of composite solid propellants. In this investigation, the fractal dimension was determined by a procedure known as the 'Box Counting Method'. Using this dimension, surface area relations were developed for the rough particles. This method was implemented in the PEM (Petite Ensemble Model) burning rate model. The comparison of burning rates for a typical propellant by the PEM and fractal model shows that the burning rates obtained by using the fractal geometry are slightly less than those obtained by the PEM model.Manouchehr Nikazar,Mohammad B. 10Studies on the Preparation and Catalyticproperties of Fe-C-Mn Ultrafine particle Catalyst in F-T synthesis显示文摘Based on the Fe/C ultrafine particle obtained by means of laser pyrolysis method, a series of Fe-C-Mn ultrafine particle catalysts for F-T synthesis were prepared by adding certain amounts of Mn organic compounds to the Fe/C UFP. XRD and TEM tests for the obtained catalysts showed that the active phases, α-Fe, Fe3Cand (Fe,Mn)O. were directly obtained. and that the particle size was in the range of 2-4 nm. The catalysts so obtained have stable structure, long life, high activity and selectivity for light olefins, especially for propylene. 11A NEW PATHWAY OF GAS-TO-LIQUID CONVERSION USING CATALYTIC DIELECTRIC-BARRIER DISCHARGE显示文摘A new pathway of gas-to-liquid conversion, directly from methane and carbon dioxide, was established recently using a catalytic dielectric-barrier discharge (DBD) with zeolite. Direct fuel synthesis becomes possible at reaction conditions close to ambient ones. The products from such direct fuel synthesis include alkanes, alkenes, oxygenates and Syngas (CO + H2). The product distribution is similar to that from Fischer-Tropsch(F-T) synthesis but it does not follow the Flory-Schulz kinetics. 12Several difficult problems in lubrication显示文摘Whether in industry or in our human life, we will encounter many lubrication problems. A goodlubricant not only should have good performance, but also should meet the needs of the specific condi-tions. Here we give some examples about the difficult problems in lubrication and their solutions. Theseexamples are: (i) hydrolysis and emulsion of ZDTP; (ii) corrosion of chlorowax; (iii) coexistence of greencompressor oil and cryogen (R-134A); (iv) lubrication of cystoscope and catheter. 17DESORPTION OF VOCs FROM POLYMERIC ADSORBENTS UNDER MICROWAVE FIELD显示文摘Desorption of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from polymeric adsorbents by microwave was investigated experimentally. Two kinds of organic compounds, benzene and toluene, were separately used as adsorbates in this work. Results showed that the application of microwave to regenerate the polymeric adsorbents not only can get higher regeneration efficiency in comparison with the use of heat regeneration, but also make the temperatures of the fixed beds much lower than that when using the heat regeneration. 18Phosphogypsum Utilization Part Ⅱ: Preparation of Ammonium Sulphate显示文摘The aim of this work was to describe the conversion of raw phosphogypsum, issued from the manufacture of H3PO4 by dissolving the phosphate rock in H2SO4, into (NH4)2SO4 and CaCO3.The thermal analysis technique was used to estimate the yield of conversion. (NH4)2CO3 or (NH4)2CO3 with excess NH4OH or (NH4)2CO3 with NH3 gas were used in the preparation of (NH4)2SO4 from phosphogypsum. The obtained samples were separated and tested by chemical and thermogravimetric analyses, infrared spectrum and X-ray diffraction and the optimum conditions of conversion were determined. The results indicated that the yield of conversion equals to 83.37 and 86.70% in case of using (NH4)2CO3 or (NH4)2CO3 with excess ammoniarespectively, while by using NH3 gas the percentage of conversion increased to 94.2% at a flow rate of 6 ml/min. Chemical analysis, infrared spectrum and X-ray diffraction patterns of the yield, (NH4)2SO4 were nearly similar to the standard sample.A.A.Hanna and S.M.Ahmed (Inorg. Chem. 19Cluster-Slabbing EHMO Study of Active-Site Model of Fe-Catalyst for Ammonia Synthesis显示文摘The 4-Fe/α-Fe(111) or (211)-surface cluster model of active sites of iron catalysts for ammonia synthesis and the two probable multinuclear coordination modes of dinitro-gen suggested previously were examined by means of improved cluster-slabbing EHMO calculations.
