1Design Principles of the Non-smooth Surface of Bionic Plow Moldboard显示文摘The diverse non-smooth body surfaces to reduce soil adhesion are the evolutional results for the soil animals to fit the adhesive and wet environment and can be used as a biological basis for the design of bionic plow moldboard. The model surfaces for bionic simulation should be taken from soil animal digging organs, on which the soil motion is similar to what is on the surface of moldboard. By analyzing the distribution of non-smooth units on the body surface of the ground beetle jaw and the soil moving stresses, the design principles of the bionic moldboard for the local and the whole moldboard were presented respectively. 2The integration of methanogenesis with denitrification and anaerobic ammonium oxidation in an expanded granular sludge bed reactor显示文摘The integration of methanogenesis with denitrification and anaerobic ammonium oxidation(ANAMMOX) was studied in an expanded granular sludge bed(EGSB) reactor in this work. Experimental results from the continuous treatment of wastewater with nitrite and ammonium, which lasted for 107 days, demonstrated that wastewater with high nitrite and ammonium could be anaerobically treated in an expanded granular sludge bed reactor. More than 91% to 97% of COD were removed at up to about 3.9 g COD/(L·d) of COD volumetric loading rate. More than 97% to 100% of nitrite was denitrified at up to about 0.8 g NO -2-N/(L·d), which is 16 times higher than that in a conventional activated sludge system with nitrification/denitrification(0.05 gN/(L·d)). No dissimilatory reduction of nitrite to ammonium occurred in the process. However, maximum of about 40% ammonium was found to be lost. Batch tests of 15 days with sludge from the reactor showed that 100% of nitrite was denitrified completely, and about 3% of ammonium was removed when only ammonium (34.3 mg/L) and nitrite(34.3 mg/L) were added into the sludge suspension medium. Furthermore, about 15% of ammonium amounts were lost with organic COD addition. It suggested that the methanogenesis in the system could enhance ANAMMOX because of intermediate hydrogen produced during methanogenesis.ZHANG Dai-jun 1,2 (1. 5Recent advances in electrochemistry of sulfide mineral flotation显示文摘The electrochemical basis for understanding the interaction of thiol collectors with sulfide minerals is reviewed. Spectroscopic techniques are being increasingly applied to augment electrochemical studies and provide unequivocal identification of species formed at mineral surfaces in flotation systems. These include X ray photoelectron, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and, more recently, surface enhanced Raman scattering spectroscopy. 6Construction of a host range-expanded hybrid baculovirus of BmNPV and AcNPV, and knockout of cysteinase gene for more efficient expression显示文摘AcNPV (Autographa californica nuclear polyhedrosis virus) and BmNPV(Bombyx mori nuclear polyhedrosis virus) are two principal insect-baculovirus expression systems, each having different characteristics. AcNPV has a wider host range and can infect a series of cell lines thus making it suitable for cell suspension culture expression, but the small size of the host insect, A. californica, makes AcNPV less suitable for large scale protein synthesis. In contrast, BmNPV can only infect the silkworm, Bombyx mori, which is well-known for its easy rearing and large size. These characteristics make the BmNPV system especially suitable for large-scale industrial ex-pression. To utilize the advantages of both AcNPV and BmNPV, we tried to expand their host range through homologous recombination and successfully constructed a hybrid baculovirus of AcNPV and BmNPV, designated as HyNPV. The hybrid baculovirus can infect the hosts of both AcNPV and BmNPV. Taking the human basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) gene as an appli-cation example, we constructed a recombinant, HyNPV-bFGF. This construct is able to express the bFGF protein both in silkworm larvae and in common-use cell lines, sf21, sf9 and High-five. Moreover, to reduce the loss of recombinant protein due to degradation by proteases that are simultaneously expressed by the baculovirus, we knocked out the cysteinase gene coding for one of the most important baculovirus proteases. 7Restudies on Body Surface of Dung Beetle and Application of Its Bionics Flexible Technique显示文摘A scanning electron microscope was used to observe the structures of the setae on the surface of a dung beetle Copris ochus, Motschulsky. There are lots of setae on the body surface, especially on the ventral part surface and lateral to the legs which are different in size, arrangement and shape. These setae have different lengths and many thorns on the whole seta. The top ends of these setae stand up without furcations which direct uprightly towards the surface of the touched soil. By the method of removing these setae, getting the insect weight before and after digging into the dung we affirm farther that the setae on the beetle body surface form the anti-stick and non-adherent gentle interface. 10Fast multipole boundary element analysis of 2D viscoelastic composites with imperfect interfaces显示文摘A fast multipole boundary element method(FMBEM)is developed for the analysis of 2D linear viscoelastic composites with imperfect viscoelastic interfaces.The transformed fast multipole formulations are established using the time domain method. 11Anti-wear properties on 20CrMnTi steel surfaces with biomimetic non-smooth units显示文摘In order to gain a sufficient wear resistance for applications, the biomimetic non-smooth units in concave were fabricated on the surfaces of 20CrMnTi steel using a biomimetic laser remelting technology. The diameter and distribution of the concaves were optimized using orthogonal experiment. The microstructures of the biomimetic non-smooth units were examined. The anti-wear behaviors were investigated by the rolling wear test with lubricant. The results of wear tests indicated that the biomimetic surfaces exhibit a higher anti-wear ability than the smooth surfaces. The biomimetic surface with concaves of 250 μm in diameter and transverse distance of 270 μm and longitudinal distance of 400 μm exhibits the best anti-wear property. 15Preparation of a Cyclomaltoheptaose(β-cyclodextrin) Cross-linked Chitosan Derivative via Glyoxal or Glutaraldehyde显示文摘A cyclomaltoheptaose--cyclodextrin (-CD) crosslinked chitosan derivative via glyoxal or glutaraldehyde was prepared. The structures of -CD crosslined chitosan with glyoxal or glutaraldehyde were characterized by IR spectra. The surface morphology of the -CD crosslinked chitosan particles was examined using a scanning electron microscope. The immobilization capacity of ?CD on chitosan was affected on the weight ratio of -CD/chitosan, the utilization amount of crosslinking agent, the acidity of the reaction system and the temperature. 17Impact of coal resource development on eco-environment and its restoration in west of China显示文摘West China has rich mineral resources, especially in coal resources with very good mining conditions. Coal resource development is the one of important tasks in the Chinese “West Development”. Thus, the impact of coal resources development on eco-environment and its restoration is worth studying. This study shows that there are many environmental problems such as land damage, coal wastes, damage of hydro-geological condition and pollution of water resource, airborne effluents (industrial exhausts and methane emission from underground), dust, waste, water. Land damage and land desertification are the most important environmental issue in west China. Therefore, the stress of environmental restoration should be desert presentation and disturbed-land reclamation. 18Comparisons between glucose analogue 2-deoxy-2-(^(18)F)fluoro-D-glucose and ^(18)F-sodium fluoride positron emission tomography/computed tomography in breast cancer patients with bone lesions显示文摘AIM: To compare 2-deoxy-2-(^(18)F)fluoro-D-glucose(^(18)FFDG) and ^(18)F-sodium(^(18)F-NaF) positron emission tomography/computed tomography(PET/CT) accuracy in breast cancer patients with clinically/radiologically suspected or known bone metastases.METHODS: A total of 45 consecutive patients with breast cancer and the presence or clinical/biochemical or radiological suspicion of bone metastatic disease underwent ^(18)F-FDG and ^(18)F-fluoride PET/CT. Imaging results were compared with histopathology when available, or clinical and radiological follow-up of at least 1 year. For each technique we calculated: Sensitivity(Se), specificity(Sp), overall accuracy, positive and negative predictive values, error rate, and Youden's index. Mc Nemar's χ~2 test was used to test the difference in sensitivity and specificity between the two diagnostic methods. All analyses were computed on a patient basis, and then on a lesion basis, with consideration ofthe density of independent lesions on the coregistered CT(sclerotic, lytic, mixed, no-lesions) and the divergent site of disease(skull, spine, ribs, extremities, pelvis). The impact of adding ^(18)F-Na F PET/CT to the work-up of patients was also measured in terms of change in their management due to ^(18)F-Na F PET/CT findings. RESULTS: The two imaging methods of ^(18)F-FDG and ^(18)F-fluoride PET/CT were significantly different at the patient-based analysis: Accuracy was 86.7% and 84.4%, respectively(Mc Nemar's χ~2 = 6.23, df = 1, P = 0.01). Overall, 244 bone lesions were detected in our analysis. The overall accuracy of the two methods was significantly different at lesion-based analysis(Mc Nemar's χ~2 = 93.4, df = 1, P < 0.0001). In the lesion density-based and site-based analysis, ^(18)F-FDG PET/CT provided more accurate results in the detection of CT-negative metastasis(P < 0.002) and vertebral localizations(P < 0.002); ^(18)F-Na F PET/CT was more accurate in detecting sclerotic(P < 0.005) and rib lesions(P < 0.04). ^(18)F-Na F PET/CT led to a change of management in 3 of the 45 patients(6.6%) by revealing findings that were not detected at ^(18)F-FDG PET/CT. CONCLUSION: ^(18)F-FDG PET/CT is a reliable imaging tool in the detection of bone metastasis in most cases, with a diagnostic accuracy that is slightly, but significantly, superior to that of ^(18)F-Na F PET/CT in the general population of breast cancer patients. 19A NEW CONJUGATE GRADIENT METHOD AND ITS GLOBAL CONVERGENCE PROPERTIES显示文摘This paper presents a new conjugate gradient method for unconstrained opti-mization. This method reduces to the Polak-Ribiere-Polyak method when line searches areexact. But their performances are differellt in the case of inexact line search. By a simpleexample, we show that the Wolf e conditions do not ensure that the present method and thePolak- Ribiere- Polyak method will pro duce descent direct i0ns even u nder t h e ass umpt ionthat the objective function is Strictly convex. This result contradicts the F0lk axiom thatthe Polak-Ribiere-Polyak with the Wolf e line search should find the minimizer of a strictlyconvex objective function. 20Formation of superthick Al-based amorphous ribbon显示文摘The Al-Ni-La-Ce-Pr-Nd amorphous ribbon with a super-thickness of 140 mm has been produced by the melt spinning technique. The thickness is as twice as that achieved by the melt spinning technique in the corresponding period (the largest thickness of 65 mm). The crystallization was characterized by using a differential scanning calorimetry.
