Combined Pollution and Pollution Index of Heavy Metals in Red Soil显示文摘A field experiment was conducted to study the effects of Pb, Cd, Cu, Zn and As coexisting in red soilon growth of rice (Oryza sativa L.), mung bean (Vigna rabiata (Linn.) Wilczek), alfalfa (Medicago sativaL.), slash pine (Pinus elliottii Engelm.) and aspen (Populus L.). Results showed that rice, mung bean andalfalfa were significantly innuenced by combined pollution of the heavy metals. The contents of Pb, cd andAs in rice grains greatly exceeded the National Standards for Food Hygiene of China. Heavy metals at ahigh concentration seriously retarded growth of mung bean and alfalfa, but not so obviously with slash pineand aspen. The composite index is suggested for evaluating the relativity of combined pollution witll heavymetals in soil. | CHEN HUAIMAN ZHENG CHUNRONG WANG SHENQIANG and TU CONG(Institute of Soil Science, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, P.O. | 2 | Dissection of genetic overlap of salt tolerance QTLs at the seedling and tillering stages using backcross introgression lines in rice显示文摘QTLs for salt-tolerance(ST)related traits at the seedling and tillering stages were identified using 99 BC2F8 introgression lines(IL)derived from a cross between IR64(indica)as a recurrent parent and Binam(japonica)from Iran as the donor parent.Thirteen QTLs affecting survival days of seedlings(SDS), score of salt toxicity of leaves(SST),shoot K + concentration(SKC)and shoot Na + concentration(SNC) at the seedling stage and 22 QTLs underlying fresh weight of shoots(FW),tiller number per plant(TN) and plant height(PH)at the tillering stage were identified. Most QTLs detected at the tillering stage showed obvious differential expression to salt stress and were classified into three types based on their differential behaviors.Type I included 11 QTLs which were expressed only under the non-stress condition.Type II included five QTLs expressed in the control and the salt stress conditions, and three of them(QPh5,QPh8 and QTn9)had similar quantity and the same direction of gene effect, suggesting their expression was less influenced by salt stress.Type III included six QTLs which were detectable only under salt stress, suggesting that these QTLs were apparently induced by the stress.Thirteen QTLs affecting trait difference or trait stability of ILs between the stress and non-stress conditions were identified and the Binam alleles at all loci except QPh4,QTn2 and QFw2a decreased trait difference. The three QTLs less influenced by the stress and 13 QTLs affecting trait stability were considered as ST QTLs which contributed to ST.Comparing the distribution of QTLs detected at the seedling and tillering stages,most(69%)of them were genetically independent.Only four were the same or adjacent regions on chromosomes 1,2,8 and 11 harboring ST QTLs detected at the two stages, suggesting that partial genetic overlap of ST across the two stages occurs. It is likely, therefore,to develop ST rice variety for both stages by pyramiding of ST QTLs of different stages or selection against the overlapping QTLs between the two stages via marker-assisted selection(MAS). | ZANG JinPing 1 ,SUN Yong 1 ,WANG Yun 1 ,YANG Jing 1 ,LI Fang 1 ,ZHOU YongLi 1 ,ZHU LingHua 1 , Reys JESSICA2,Fotokian MOHAMMADHOSEIN 2,XU JianLong 1&LI ZhiKang 1,2 1Institute of Crop Sciences/National Key Facility for Crop Gene Resources&Genetic Improvement,Chinese Academy of Agricul- tural Sciences,Beijing 100081,China 2International Rice Research Institute,DAPO Box 7777,Metro Manila,Philippines | 2008 | Science China(Life Sciences)2008,51,7: | 32
Recovery of heavy metals from electroplating sludge and stainless steel pickle waste liquid by ammonia leaching method显示文摘A coordinative disposal process for treatment of electroplating sludge and stainless steel pickle waste liquid containing Cu, Ni, Zn, Cr and Fe etc., has been developed to recover valuable metals and to eliminate pollution. The recovery of Cu, Ni, Zn and Cr is 94%, 91%, 90% and 95%, respectively. The ammonia was recycled by the simplified process of CaO caustic distillation. The precipitated product of Cu, Ni and Zn obtained from caustic distillation of ammonia was separated by extraction or high\|pressure hydrogen reduction in an autoclave. The qualified metal salt products were obtained through extraction. The rich chromium residue from coordinative disposal was subjected to recover Cr by hydrothermal oxidation in NaOH medium and Fe\-3O\-4 was synthesized by wet methods from the residue produced by extracting Cr. Cr was a stable chemical fixed in Fe\-3O\-4 and harmless. The recovery process has been used in a pilot plant with sludge production capacity of 2000 t/a. | Zhang Yi, Wang Zhi\|kuan, Xu Xia, Chen Yong\|qi, Qi Tao Institute of Chemical Metallurgy, Chinese Academy of Sciences,P.O. | 4 | Phenolic Acids in Plant-Soil-Microbe System: A Review显示文摘Phenolic acids are very common compounds in pedosphere. The objective of this review was to summarize the current knowledge of the behaviors of phenolic acids in plant-soil-microbe system. When phenolic acids originated from leaching, decomposition and exudation of living and dead plant tissues enter soils, they can react physicochemically with soil particle surfaces and/or incorporate into humic matter. Phenolic acids desorbed from soil particle surfaces and remained in solution phase can be utilized by microbe as carbon sources and absorbed by plants. The degradation products of phenolic acids by microbe include some organic and/or inorganic compounds such as new phenolic acids. In addition, phenolic acids in soils can stimulate population and activity of microbe. Phenolic acids can inhibit plants growth by affecting ion leakage, phytohormone activity, membrane permeability, hydraulic conductivity, net nutrient uptake, and enzyme activity. Behaviors of phenolic acids in soils are influenced by other organic compounds (phenolic acids, methionine, glucose, etc.) and/or inorganic ions. The role of phenolic acids as allelopathic agents should not be neglected only based on their low specific concentrations in natural soils, because numbers and interactions of phenolic acids will increase their allelopathic activities. | LI SHOUTIAN, ZHOU JIANMIN, WANG HUOYAN and CHEN XIAOQIN Institute of Soil Science, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, P. | 5 | Modeling of elastic wave propagation on a curved free surface using an improved finite-difference algorithm显示文摘Based on existing direct and imaging methods of a staggered finite-difference scheme, an improved algorithm for staggered finite-difference is proposed to implement rugged topographic free boundary conditions. This method assumes that the free surface can be implemented with horizontal and vertical free surface segments and their corners; the free surface passes through the grid points of shear stress components, instead of the normal stress components. Imaging is carried out for stress components in both horizontal and vertical directions, thus increasing the accuracy. To update particle- velocities, imaging and updating are first performed in the horizontal direction, and then in the vertical direction. The numerical results for elastic flat horizontal free surface with the imaging method and those for flat free surfaces of various slope angles with the proposed method are compared, and are shown to be in good agreement. The advantage of the proposed method is that only the stresses are dealt with in implementing the free surface into the staggered algorithm, which improves computation efficiency. | WANG Xiuming1,3 & ZHANG Hailan2 1. | 6 | Study on the Effects of End-bend Cantilevered Stator in a 2-stage Axial Compressor显示文摘Leading edge recambering is applied to the cantilevered stator vanes in a 2-stage compressor in this paper. Differentcurving effects are produced when the end-bend stator vanes are stacked in different ways. Stacking on theleading edge induces a positive curving effect near the casing. When it is stacked on the centre of gravity, a negativecurving effect takes place. The numerical investigation shows that the flow field is redistributed when theend-bend stators with leading edge stacking are applied. The variations in the stage matching for the mainstreamand near the hub have an impact on the performance of the 2-stage compressor. The isentropic efficiency and thetotal pressure ratio of the compressor are increased near the design condition. The compressor total pressure ratiois decreased near choke and near stall. The maximum flow rate is reduced and the stall margin is decreased. | Songtao WANG Xin DU Zhongqi WANG Harbin Institute of Technology, P.O. | 7 | BRIF and CARIF progress显示文摘China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE) is currently constructing Beijing rare ion beam facility (BRIF) and is proposing China advanced rare ion beam facility (CARIF). This paper is aiming at introducing the progress of BRIF project and the con ceptual design CARIF. The ISOL type facility BRIF under construction is composed of a 100 MeV 300 ?A proton cyclotron, an ISOL with mass resolution of 20000, and a super-conducting LINAC of 2 MeV/q, and will be commissioned in 2013. CARIF facility proposed is planned to use both ISOL and PF techniques. It is based on a China advanced research reactor CARR that was critical, with ISOL separation of fission fragment, post acceleration to 150 MeV/u, and fragmentation of neu tron-rich fission fragment beam like 132Sn. Such unique combination will allow CARIF to deliver beam intensity better than the best world facilities by more than one order of magnitude. | LIU WeiPing, LI ZhiHong, BAI XiXiang, WANG YouBao, GUO Bing, PENG ChaoHua, YANG Yi, SU Jun, CUI BaoQun, ZHOU ShuHua, ZHU ShengYun, XIA HaiHong, GUAN XiaLing, ZENG Sheng, ZHANG HuanQiao, CHEN YongShou, TANG HongQing, HUANG Li & FENG BeiYuan China Institute of Atomic Energy, P. | 8 | NUMERICAL STUDIES ON RESONANT AND ENHANCEMENT EFFECTS FOR COUPLING OF MICROWAVE PULSES INTO NARROW SLOTS显示文摘In this paper, modifications to the finite-difference time-domain(FD-TD) method for modeling microwave pulse coupling into a slot, which is much narrower than one conventional FD-TD cell, are discussed. The coupling process of microwave pulse into a slot is studied by using the modified FD-TD method, and the dependence of microwave coupling on slot sizes, the carrier frequencies and the polarization directions of the incident waves is analysed. Resonant and enhancement effects which occur in this process are observed. The condition at which the resonant effect takes place is also presented. | Wang Jianguo Yu Hanqing Liu Guozhi Chen Yusheng Fan Ruyu (Northwest Institute of Nuclear Technology, Branch 15, P. O. | 9 | Analysis of leakage current in GaAs micro-solar cell arrays显示文摘The output characteristics of micro-solar cell arrays are analyzed on the basis of a modified model in which the shunt resistance between cell lines results in current leakage. The modification mainly consists of adding a shunt resistor network to the traditional model. The obtained results agree well with the reported experimental results. The calculation results demonstrate that leakage current in substrate affects seriously the performance of GaAs micro-solar cell arrays. The performance of arrays can be improved by reducing the number of cells per line.In addition,at a certain level of integration,an appropriate space occupancy rate of the single cell is recommended for ensuring high open circuit voltages, and it is more appropriate to set the rates at 80%-90% through the calculation. | WANG YanShuo1,CHEN NuoFu1,2,3,ZHANG XingWang1,BAI YiMing1,WANG Yu1,HUANG TianMao1,ZHANG Han1 & SHI HuiWei1 1 Key Laboratory of Semiconductor Materials Science,Institute of Semiconductors,Chinese Academy of Sciences,PO Box 912,Beijing 100083,China 2 School of Renewable Energy Engineering,North China Electric Power University,Beijing 102206,China 3 National Laboratory of Micro-Gravity,Institute of Mechanics,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Beijing 100080,China | 2010 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,5: | 5
A Natural Vaccine Candidate Strain Against Cholera显示文摘E1 Tor Vibrio cholerae (EVC) strains may be classifled into two kinds-epidemigenic (EEVC) strains and non-epidemigenic (NEEVC) strains-based on a phage-biotyping system. A large number of EEVC strains have been screened for toxigenic and putative colonization attributes. One such naturally occurring strain (designated IEM 101) has been found which is devoid of genes encoding cholera toxin (CT), accessory cholera enterotoxin (ACE), zonula occludens toxin (ZOT), but possesses RS1 sequences and toxin-coregulated pilus A gene (tcpA) although tcpA is poorly expressed. It expresses type B pili but does not posses type C pili. It is an E1 Tor Ogawa strain and does not cause fluid accumulation in rabbit ileal loop tests. Active immunization of rabbits with strain IEM 101 elicited good protection against challenge with virulent strains of V cholerae O1. Under certain conditions, simple, general and complete parametric solutions of both finite closed-loop eigenvector matrices and feedback gain matrices are derived. The parametric approach utilizes directly original system data, involves manipulations only on n-dimensional matrices, and reveals all the design degrees of freedom which can be further utilized to achieve certain additional system specifications. | 13 | Quantifying the effectiveness of SiO_2/Au light trapping nanoshells for thin film poly-Si solar cells显示文摘In order to enhance light absorption of thin film poly-crystalline silicon(TF poly-Si)solar cells over a broad spectral range, and quantify the effectiveness of nanoshell light trapping structure over the full solar spectrum in theory, the effective photon trapping flux(EPTF)and effective photon trapping efficiency(EPTE)were firstly proposed by considering both the external quantum efficiency of TF poly-Si solar cell and scattering properties of light trapping structures. The EPTF,EPTE and scattering spectrum exhibit different behaviors depending on the geometric size and density of nanoshells that form the light trapping layer. With an optimum size and density of SiO2/Au nanoshell light trapping layer, the EPTE could reach up to 40%due to the enhancement of light trapping over a broad spectral range, especially from 500 to 800 nm. | BAI YiMing 1 ,WANG Jun 2 ,CHEN NuoFu 1,3 ,YAO JianXi 1 ,YIN ZhiGang 3 ,ZHANG Han 3 , ZHANG XingWang 3 ,HUANG TianMao 3 ,WANG YanShuo 3 &YANG XiaoLi 3 1School of Renewable Energy Engineering,North China Electric Power University,Beijing 102206,China 2 National Engineering Research Center for Optoelectronic Devices,Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences,PO Box 912,Beijing 100083,China 3 Key Laboratory of Semiconductor Materials Science,Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences,PO Box 912,Beijing 100083,China | 2010 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,8: | 4

Experimental research into the two-proton emissions from ^(17,18) Ne,^(28) P and ^(28,29)S显示文摘Two-proton emissions from the excited states of 17,18Ne, 28P and 28,29S were investigated experimentally by the radioactive beams bombarding on the 197Au target via the Coulomb excitation. The complete-kinematics measurements were actualized by the stacks of silicon-strip detectors and CsI+PIN array detectors. The invariant mass of final systems as well as the relative momentum, opening angle, and relative energy of the two emitted protons was reconstructed under the framework of relativ istic kinematics. Visible proton-proton correlations were observed in these systems. The mechanisms of two-proton emission were analyzed in a simple schematic model, in which the extreme decay modes like He cluster emission, three-body 2 phase-space decay, and two-body sequential decay were taken into account. With the help of Monte-Carlo simulations, the two protons emitted from the 6.15 MeV excited state of Ne and the excited states in the energy region of 9.6–10.4 MeV of S, 18 29 respectively, exhibited prominent features of2 He cluster decay while for the other cases, no obvious diproton emissions were observed. | LIN ChengJian1, XU XinXing1, JIA HuiMing1, YANG Feng1, JIA Fei1, WU ZhenDong1, ZHANG ShiTao1, LIU ZuHua1, ZHANG HuanQiao1, XU HuShan2, SUN ZhiYu2, WANG JianSong2, HU ZhengGuo2, WANG Meng2, CHEN RuoFu2, ZHANG XueYing2, LI Chen2, LEI XiangGuo2, XU ZhiGuo2, XIAO GuoQing2 & ZHAN WenLong2 1China Institute of Atomic Energy, P. | 17 | Effect of High Pressure Homogenization Treatment on Structure and Properties of Soybean Residue Cellulose Nanofibers显示文摘To reduce the adverse effects of non-cellulose materials on subsequent homogenization, the effects of a high-pressure homogenization treatment on the structure and properties of cellulose nanofibers(CNF)prepared by acid treatment of soybean residue were studied. The effects of the number of homogenization step on the microfibrillation degree, crystalline structure and mechanical properties of the soybean residue were analyzed by SEM,FT-IR,XRD,TG and DTG.The results showed that an increase in the number of homogenization steps led to an increase in the degree of microfibrillation,a more uniform distribution of the CNF diameter, and an increase in the crystallinity of CNF.However, but when the number of homogenization steps exceeded 15,the rate of change decreased, and the crystallinity of CNF decreased. As the number of homogenization steps increased, the average degree of polymerization and average molecular weight of CNF decreased continuously, and after 15 homogenization steps, their rate of change also decreased.Therefore,15 steps of high-pressure homogenization represented a suitable number of steps to prepare the soybean residue CNF with an average diameter of 15 nm. | Peiyi Li Yumeng Wang Binyao Zhou Qingqing Hou Hezhen Liu Haozhe Lei Boxing Jian Xinping Li | 2019 | Paper And Biomaterials2019,4,4: | 4

| 19 | Hydrocarbon accumulation in network and its application in the continental rift basin显示文摘The concept of hydrocarbon accumulation in network was presented on basis of the overall analysis of the formation and evolution characteristics of the continental faulted basin and of the systemic re-search on the major controlling factors on the hydrocarbon accumulation. The hydrocarbon accumu-lation in network can be defined as hydrocarbon accumulation in a three-dimensional network system which is constituted by the hydrocarbon migration passages under multiple dynamics, following the hydrocarbon generation from source rocks. The research shows that the hydrocarbon accumulation in network is composed of four elements,i.e.,hydrocarbon source (source rock kitchen),hydrocarbon accumulation terminal (trap),network pathway connecting source and terminal (transporting system),and network potential driving hydrocarbon migration in the network pathway (migration dynamics). Compared with other networks, hydrocarbon accumulation in network has three basic characteristics: the irreversible geological process of material and information flow in the network; the loss of material and information in the flow process in the network; the multiple dynamics in the flow process. Interac-tion of all the elements in the geological process can be called hydrocarbon accumulation in network. There are three basic models for hydrocarbon accumulation in network, that is,hydrocarbon accumu-lation in the network source area, hydrocarbon accumulation in the network pathway, and hydrocarbon accumulation in the network terminal. The key in the application of the hydrocarbon accumulation models in network in practice is to confirm the major accumulation stage and the function range of the four elements controlling the hydrocarbon firstly,to predict the profitable accumulation region by su-perposition of the favorable areas confirmed by four elements consequently, and to evaluate the oil-bearing property of the trap as well as confirm drilling targets.
