2Analysis and use of fuzzy intelligent technique for navigation of humanoid robot in obstacle prone zone显示文摘With the increasing use of humanoid robots in several sectors of industrial automation and manufacturing, navigation and path planning of humanoids has emerged as one of the most promising area of research. In this paper, a navigational controller has been developed for a humanoid by using fuzzy logic as an intelligent algorithm for avoiding the obstacles present in the environment and reach the desired target position safely. Here, the controller has been designed by careful consideration of the navigational parameters by the help of fuzzy rules. The sensory information regarding obstacle distances and bearing angle towards the target are considered as inputs to the controller and necessary velocities for avoiding the obstacles are obtained as outputs. The working of the controller has been tested on a NAO humanoid robot in V-REP simulation platform. 3An ethnobotanical survey of medicinal plants used by ethnic people in West and South district of Tripura, India显示文摘An ethno-medicinal investigation was conducted to highlights the traditional knowledge of medicinal plants being used by the tribe in West and South district of Tripura. This paper provides information about the different uses of plants used in their primary health care system. Tripura is a small north-eastern state of India and also a part of both Himalayan and Indo-Burma biodiversity region. It is a goldmine of medicinal plants and use of different plants in tribal traditional heath care systems has long history. Nineteen different tribes in Tripura, depend on natural resources at a great extent. This paper documented 113 medicinal plant species from 56 families along with their botanical name, local name, family name, habit, medicinal parts used, and traditional usage of application. The dominant families are Euphorbiaceae (7 species), Apocynaceae (6 species), Fabaceae and Rubiaceae (5 species each), Caesalpiniaceae, Asteraceae, Liliaceae and Verbenaceae (4 species each), Combretaceae, Labiatae, Malvaceae, Rutaceae and Zingiberaceae (3 species each). Tribes of Tripura have rich traditional knowledge on plant based medicine. 5Soral Crypsis:Protective Mimicry of a Coccid on an Indian Fern显示文摘Herbivory with crypsis is not well documented in ferns. The present record of cryptic coloration of coccid Saissetia filicum Boisduval (Homoptera: Coccidae) to the sori of a fern species Asplenium nidus L. (Aspleniaceae) is unique. Predatory beetles (Jauravia sp., Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) that feed on the coccids, are suggested to be selective pressure for the development of the present homopteran soral crypsis. A higher rate of effective predation is noticed in the vegetative leaves than the fertile leaves. Aggressive ants were found harvesting honeydew secretions from the coccids and defending the trophobionts as well as the host fern from their natural enemies. In addition, a possible three-way mutualistic relationship among the coccids, its host fern and the tending ant is suggested. Differential numbers of coccids on vegetative and fertile leaves is correlated with their phenol content and degree of predation by beetles. Such coloration mimicry by the coccids may enable them to obtain the necessary blend of sorus of the host fern needed to evade beetle detection and attack.Biplab Patra Subir Bera R. 6印度药用植物Meyna spinosa Roxb.叶中的总酚、总黄酮含量及抗氧化作用(英文)显示文摘AIM: The objective of the present study was to determine the total phenolic and total flavonoid contents, and to evaluate the antioxidant potential of different leaf extracts of Meyna spinosa Roxb. ex Link, a traditional medicinal plant of India. METHODS: Free radical scavenging and antioxidant potential of the methanol, ethyl acetate, and petroleum ether extracts of Meyna spinosa leaves were investigated using several in vitro and ex vivo assays, including the 2, 2-diphenyl-picrylhydrazyl radical scavenging, superoxide anion scavenging, hydroxyl radical scavenging, nitric oxide radical scavenging, hydrogen peroxide scavenging activity, metal chelating assay, and reducing power ability method. Total antioxidant activity of the extracts was estimated by the ferric thiocyanate method. Inhibition assay of lipid peroxidation and oxidative hemolysis were also performed to confirm the protective effect of the extracts. Total phenolic and total flavonoid contents of the extracts were estimated using standard chemical assay procedures. RESULTS: Methanol extracts showed the highest polyphenolic content and possessed the better antioxidant activity than the other two extracts. Total phenolic and total flavonoid contents in the methanol extract were (90.08 ± 0.44) mg gallic acid equivalents/g and (58.50 ± 0.09) mg quercetin equivalents/g, respectively. The IC 50 of the methanol extract in the DPPH , superoxide anion, hydroxyl radical, nitric oxide radical, hydrogen peroxide scavenging activity and metal chelating assays were (16.4 ± 0.41), (35.9 ± 0.19), (24.1 ± 0.33), (23.7 ± 0.09), (126.8 ± 2.92), and (117.2 ± 1.01) μg·mL-1 , respectively. The methanol extract showed potent reducing power ability, total antioxidant activity, and significantly inhibit lipid peroxidation and oxidative hemolysis which was similar to that of standards. CONCLUSION: The results indicated a direct correlation between the antioxidant activity and the polyphenolic content of the extracts, which may the foremost contributors to the antioxidant activity of the plant. 7Lithofacies architecture and palaeogeography of the Late Paleozoic glaciomarine Talchir Formation,Raniganj Basin,India显示文摘Talchir Formation(Permo-Carboniferous) of the Gondwana Supergroup records the Late Paleozoic glaciation in Peninsular India.Talchir sedimentary succession of the Raniganj Basin,Damodar Valley Coalfields,Peninsular India,bears ten facies types grouped under three facies associations,viz.,the proglacial conglomerate-sandstone facies association(CS),the foreshore-shoreface conglomerate-sandstone-mudstone facies association(CSM) and the prodelta-shelf sandstone-mudstone facies association(SM).Overall facies architecture reflects initial ice-covered terrestrial subglacial sedimentation,which was subsequently reworked and emplaced subaqueously in front of the ice-grounding line,and finally overlapped by storm-laid prodelta-shelf sediments.Repeated glacial advance-retreats with shifts in the position of the ice-grounding line during phases of climatic amelioration led to multiple deglaciation-related fining-up cycles.Decoupled ice sheet and floating icebergs contributed icerafted debris(IRD) to these sediments.Gradual retreat of the ice sheet,however,restricted the supply of IRD towards top of the succession.Overlap of wave-agitated shoreface-shelf sediments on the glaciogenic sediments indicates widespread marine transgression caused by glacier melting during ice-house to green-house climatic transition,and crustal downsagging related to glacioisostasy.Subsequently,complete disappearance of the ice sheet caused basinal exhumation along with crustal uplift due to isostatic rebound,leading to multiple horst-graben bounded basinal systems,which received post-Talchir coal-bearing Gondwana sediments.H.N.Bhattacharya Biplab Bhattacharya 2015Journal of Palaeogeography2015,4,3:2

15Flexible ternary carbon black/Bi_(2)Te_(3) based alloy/polylactic acid thermoelectric composites fabricated by additive manufacturing显示文摘Flexible ternary carbon black/Bi_(2)Te_(3) based alloy/polylactic acid(CB/BTBA/PLA)composites were fabricated by additive manufacturing and their thermoelectric properties were investigated from 300 K to 360 K.At 300 K,as the mass ratios of BTBAs in the composites increased from 38.5% to 71.4%,both the electrical conductivity and Seebeck coefficient of the composites increased from 5.8 S/cm to 13.3 S/cm,and from 60.2 mV/K to 119.9 mV/K,respectively,and the thermal conductivity slightly increased from 0.15 W m^(-1)K^(-1) to 0.25 W m^(-1)K^(-1),as a result,the ZT value of the composites increased from 0.004 to 0.023.As the temperature increased from 300 K to 360 K,the electrical conductivity of all the composites slightly decreased,while the thermal conductivity slowly increased,and a highest ZT value of 0.024 was achieved for the composites with 71.4% BTBAs at 320 K.Unlike traditional sterolithography,fused deposition modeling,selective laser melting,etc.,this additive manufacturing process can directly print the solutions which contain inorganic fillers and polymer matrixes into almost any designed intricate geometries of thermoelectric composites,therefore this process has great potential to be used for fabrication of flexible polymer based thermoelectric composites and devices.Yong Du Jiageng Chen Qiufeng Meng Jiayue Xu Biplab Paul Per Eklund 2020Journal of Materiomics2020,6,2:1

20热处理工艺提高Al-17Si-5Cu合金的干滑动耐磨性(英文)显示文摘通过等温热处理调整铸态Al-17Si-5Cu (AR)合金中Si (尤其是共晶Si)颗粒的形貌以提高合金的耐磨性能。通过销-盘式摩擦机对比研究热处理后的合金(HT合金)和AR合金的磨损行为,并采用扫描电镜观察磨损表面。结果表明,HT合金的显微组织发生显著变化,相应地,HT合金较AR合金的硬度值增大。与AR合金相比,HF合金在所有载荷下总磨损率明显降低,耐磨性能明显改善。热处理后,共晶Si颗粒由针/棒状变为球形/等轴状(长径比接近1),与基体形成良好结合,在磨损过程中保持完整且更加坚硬,为材料提供良好的耐磨性。另外,HT合金硬度的增加进一步提高合金的耐磨性。因此,完整且较硬的Si颗粒对磨损表面的作用以及材料整体硬度的提高导致HT合金在所有载荷下的磨损行为均优于AR合金。Biplab HAZRA Pankaj BARANWAL Supriya BERA Bijay Kumar SHOW 2018Transactions of Nonferrous Metals Society of China2018,28,9:1
