| 1 | Artificial intelligence for satellite communication: A review显示文摘Satellite communication offers the prospect of service continuity over uncovered and under-covered areas,service ubiquity,and service scalability.However,several challenges must first be addressed to realize these benefits,as the resource management,network control,network security,spectrum management,and energy usage of satellite networks are more challenging than that of terrestrial networks.Meanwhile,artificial intelligence(AI),including machine learning,deep learning,and reinforcement learning,has been steadily growing as a research field and has shown successful results in diverse applications,including wireless communication.In particular,the application of AI to a wide variety of satellite communication aspects has demonstrated excellent potential,including beam-hopping,anti-jamming,network traffic forecasting,channel modeling,telemetry mining,ionospheric scintillation detecting,interference managing,remote sensing,behavior modeling,space-air-ground integrating,and energy managing.This work thus provides a general overview of AI,its diverse sub-fields,and its state-of-the-art algorithms.Several challenges facing diverse aspects of satellite communication systems are then discussed,and their proposed and potential AI-based solutions are presented.Finally,an outlook of field is drawn,and future steps are suggested. | Fares Fourati Mohamed-Slim Alouini | 2021 | Intelligent and Converged Networks2021,2,3: | 4 |
| 2 | Analysis of 3D localization in underwater optical wireless networks with uncertain anchor positions显示文摘Localization accuracy is of paramount importance for the proper operation of underwater optical wireless sensor networks(UOWSNs).However,underwater localization is prone to hostile environmental impediments such as drifts owing to the surface and deep currents.These cause uncertainty in the deployed anchor node positions and pose daunting challenges to achieve accurate location estimations.Therefore,this paper analyzes the performance of three-dimensional(3D)localization for UOWSNs and derives a closedform expression for the Cramer Rao lower bound(CRLB)by using time of arrival(ToA)and angle of arrival(AoA)measurements under the presence of uncertainty in anchor node positions.Numerical results validate the analytical findings by comparing the localization accuracy in scenarios with and without anchor nodes position uncertainty.Results are also compared with the linear least square(LLS)method and weighted LLS(WLLS)method. | Nasir SAEED Abdulkadir CELIK Mohamed-Slim ALOUINI Tareq Y.AL-NAFFOURI | 2020 | Science China(Information Sciences)2020,63,10: | 2 |
