1Numerical Study on Arc Plasma Behavior During Arc Commutation Process in Direct Current Circuit Breaker显示文摘This paper focuses on the numerical investigation of arc plasma behavior during arc commutation process in a medium-voltage direct current circuit breaker(DCCB) contact system.A three-dimensional magneto-hydrodynamic(MHD) model of air arc plasma in the contact system of a DCCB is developed,based on commercial software FLUENT.Coupled electromagnetic and gas dynamic interactions are considered as usual,and a thin layer of nonlinear electrical resistance elements is used to represent the voltage drop of plasma sheath and the formation of new arc root.The distributions of pressure,temperature,gas flow and current density of arc plasma in arc region are calculated.The simulation results indicate that the pressure distribution related to the contact system has a strong effect on the arc commutation process,arising from the change of electrical conductivity in the arc root region.In DCCB contact system,the pressure of arc root region will be concentrated and higher if the space above the moving contact is enclosed,which is not good for arc root commutation.However,when the region is opened,the pressure distribution would be lower and more evenly,which is favorable for the arc root commutation.杨飞 马瑞光 吴翊 孙昊 纽春萍 荣命哲 2012Plasma Science and Technology2012,14,2:35
2Study of Temperature Distribution Along an Artificially Polluted Insulator String显示文摘Insulator becomes wet partially or completely, and the pollution layer on it becomes conductive, when collecting pollutants for an extended period during dew, light rain, mist, fog or snow melting. Heavy rain is a complicated factor that it may wash away the pollution layer without initiating other stages of breakdown or it may bridge the gaps between sheds to promote flashover.The insulator with a conducting pollution layer being energized, can cause a surface leakage current to flow (also temperature-rise). As the surface conductivity is non-uniform, the conducting pollution layer becomes broken by dry bands (at spots of high current density), interrupting the flow of leakage current. Voltage across insulator gets concentrated across dry bands, and causes high electric stress and breakdown (dry band arcing). 3Stimulating Effects of Seed Treatment by Magnetized Plasma on Tomato Growth and Yield显示文摘Tomato seeds (Lycopersicon esculentum L. Mill. cv. zhongshu No. 6) were treated by magnetized plasma before being sown to investigate its effect on the growth and yield of toma- toes. Biochemical analysis showed that dehydrogenase activity increased with the increase of the current but decreased when the current was higher than 1.5 A. The activities of peroxidase (POD) isoenzyme changed in the same pattern. There was no difference in germination percent- age between treatments and control, which were carried out in laboratory conditions. However, significant (α = 0.01) difference was observed in germination percentage in the pot experiment. In the pot experiment, the sprouting rate for the treatment with a 1.5 A current was 32.75%, whereas the untreated was only 4.75% on the eleventh day. 6Aging Characteristics on.Epoxy Resin Surface Under Repetitive Microsecond Pulses in Air at Atmospheric Pressure显示文摘Research on aging characteristics of epoxy resin(EP) under repetitive microsecond pulses is important for the design of insulating materials in high power apparatus.It is because that very fast transient overvoltage always occurs in a power system,which causes flashover and is one of the main factors causing aging effects of EP materials.Therefore,it is essential to obtain a better understanding of the aging effect on an EP surface resulting from flashover.In this work,aging effects on an EP surface were investigated by surface flashover discharge under repetitive microsecond pulses in atmospheric pressure.The investigations of parameters such as the surface micro-morphology and chemical composition of the insulation material under different degrees of aging were conducted with the aid of measurement methods such as atomic force microscopy(AFM),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).Results showed that with the accumulation of aging energy on the material surface,the particles formed on the material surface increased both in number and size,leading to the growth of surface roughness and a reduction in the water contact angle; the surface also became more absorbent.Furthermore,in the aging process,the molecular chains of EP on the surface were broken,resulting in oxidation and carbonisation.谢庆 刘熊 章程 王瑞雪 饶章权 邵涛 2016Plasma Science and Technology2016,18,3:15
7Effect of Cold Plasma Treatment on Seed Germination and Growth of Wheat显示文摘This study investigated the e?ect of cold helium plasma treatment on seed germination, growth and yield of wheat. The e?ects of di?erent power of cold plasma on the germination of treated wheat seeds were studied. We found that the treatment of 80 W could significantly improve seed germination potential(6.0%) and germination rate(6.7%) compared to the control group. Field experiments were carried out for wheat seeds treated with 80 W cold plasma. Compared with the control, plant height(20.3%), root length(9.0%) and fresh weight(21.8%) were improved significantly at seedling stage. At booting stage, plant height, root length, fresh weight, stem diameter, leaf area and leaf thickness of the treated plant were respectively increased by 21.8%, 11.0%, 7.0%, 9.0%, 13.0% and 25.5%. At the same time, the chlorophyll content(9.8%), nitrogen(10.0%) and moisture content(10.0%) were higher than those of the control, indicating that cold plasma treatment could promote the growth of wheat. The yield of treated wheat was 7.55 t · ha-1, 5.89% more than that of the control. 8Study on the Mathematical Model of Dielectric Recovery Characteristics in High Voltage SF6 Circuit Breaker显示文摘According to the stream theory,this paper proposes a mathematical model of the dielectric recovery characteristic based on the two-temperature ionization equilibrium equation.Taking the dynamic variation of charged particle's ionization and attachment into account,this model can be used in collaboration with the Coulomb collision model,which gives the relationship of the heavy particle temperature and electron temperature to calculate the electron density and temperature under different pressure and electric field conditions,so as to deliver the breakdown electric field strength under different pressure conditions.Meanwhile an experiment loop of the circuit breaker has been built to measure the breakdown voltage.It is shown that calculated results are in conformity with experiment results on the whole while results based on the stream criterion are larger than experiment results.This indicates that the mathematical model proposed here is more accurate for calculating the dielectric recovery characteristic,it is derived from the stream model with some improvement and refinement and has great significance for increasing the simulation accuracy of circuit breaker's interruption characteristic.林莘 王飞鸣 徐建源 夏亚龙 刘卫东 2016Plasma Science and Technology2016,18,3:13
9Experimental Characterization of the Plasma Synthetic Jet Actuator显示文摘The plasma synthetic jet is a novel active flow control method because of advantages such as fast response,high frequency and non-moving parts,and it has received more attention recently,especially regarding its application to high-speed flow control.In this paper,the experimental characterization of the plasma synthetic jet actuator is investigated.The actuator consists of a copper anode,a tungsten cathode and a ceramic shell,and with these three parts a cavity can be formed inside the actuator.A pulsed-DC power supply was adopted to generate the arc plasma between the electrodes,through which the gas inside was heated and expanded from the orifice.Discharge parameters such as voltage and current were recorded,respectively,by voltage and current probes.The schlieren system was used for flow visualization,and jet velocities with different discharge parameters were measured.The schlieren images showed that the strength of plasma jets in a series of pulses varies from each other.Through velocity measurement,it is found that at a fixed frequency,the jet velocity hardly increases when the discharge voltage ranges from 16 kV to 20 kV.However,with the discharge voltage fixed,the jet velocity suddenly decreases when the pulse frequency rises above 500 Hz,whereas at other testing frequencies no such decrease was observed.The maximum jet velocity measured in the experiment was up to110 m/s,which is believed to be effective for high-speed flow control.金迪 李应红 贾敏 宋慧敏 崔巍 孙权 李凡玉 2013Plasma Science and Technology2013,15,10:12
10Analysis of the Molecules Structure and Vertical Electron Affinity of Organic Gas Impact on Electric Strength显示文摘It is necessary to find an efficient selection method to pre-analyze the gas electric strength from the perspective of molecule structure and the properties for finding the alternative gases to sulphur hexafluoride(SF_6).As the properties of gas are determined by the gas molecule structure,the research on the relationship between the gas molecule structure and the electric strength can contribute to the gas pre-screening and new gas development.In this paper,we calculated the vertical electron affinity,molecule orbits distribution and orbits energy of gas molecules by the means of density functional theory(DFT) for the typical structures of organic gases and compared their electric strengths.By this method,we find part of the key properties of the molecule which are related to the electric strength,including the vertical electron affinity,the lowest unoccupied molecule orbit(LUMO) energy,molecule orbits distribution and negativeion system energy.We also listed some molecule groups such as unsaturated carbons double bonds(C=C) and carbonitrile bonds(C=N) which have high electric strength theoretically by this method.焦俊韬 肖登明 赵小令 邓云坤 2016Plasma Science and Technology2016,18,5:12
11A Fusion Neutron Source Driven Sub-Critical Nuclear Energy System: A Way for Early Application of Fusion Technology显示文摘This paper proposes a sub-critical nuclear energy system driven by fusion neutron source, FDS, which can be used to transmute long-lived radioactive wastes and to produce fissile nuclear fuel as a way for early application of fusion technology. The necessity and feasibility to develop that system in China are illustrated on the basis of prediction of the demand of energy source in the first half of the 21th century, the status of current fission energy supply and the progress in fusion technology in the world. The characteristics of fusion neutron driver and the potential for transmutation of long-lived nuclear wastes and breeding of fissile nuclear fuel in a blanket are analyzed. 14Purification and Properties of a New L-Sorbose Dehydrogenase Accelerative Protein from Bacillus megaterium Bred by Ion-Beam Implantation显示文摘Bacillus megaterium BM302 bred by ion-beam implantation produces L-sorbosedehydrogenase accelerative protein (SAP) to accelerate the activity of L-sorbose dehydrogenase(SDH) of Gluconobacter oxydans in the 2-keto-L-gulonic acid (2KLG) fermentation from L-sorboseby the mixed culture of B.megaterium BM302 and G.oxydans.The SAP purified by threechromatographic steps gave 35-fold purification with a yield of 13% and a specific activity of5.21 units/mg protein.The molecular weight of the purified SAP was about 58 kDa.The SDHaccelerative activity of SAP at pH 7 and 50℃ was the highest.Additionally,it retained 60%activity at a pH range of 6.5~10 and was stable at 20℃~60℃.After 0.32-unit SAP was addedto the single cultured G.oxydans strains,the SDH activity was apparently accelerated and the2KLG yield of GO29,GO112,G0 and G113 was enhanced 2.1,3.3,3.5 and 2.9 folds respectivelyover that of the strains without the addition of SAP.赵世光 姚黎明 苏彩欣 王陶 王军 汤明礼 余增亮 2008Plasma Science and Technology2008,10,3:9
15Experimental Research of Inactivation Effect of Low-Temperature Plasma on Bacteria显示文摘The killing logarithms index in killing a vegetative form in an explosure of about 90 s and a spore in an explosure of about 120 s, by using a low-temperature plasma produced by dielectric barrier discharge (DBD), reached 5. The speed in killing the strains tested, by using a low-temperature plasma, was the highest with E. Coli, then S. Aureus and B. Subtilis var niger spore. The results of the scanning electron microscope showed that the low-temperature plasma destroyed the outer structure of the bacteria and that the vegetative form was more susceptible to the inactivation effect of the low-temperature plasma than was the spore. 16Effect of the Plasma Pressure on Magnetohydrodynamic Kink Instability in a Cylindrical Geometry显示文摘A semi-analytical method is introduced to study kink instability in cylindricalplasma with line-tied boundary conditions.The method is based on an expansion for magnetohydrodynamics(MHD)equations in one-dimensional(1D)radial eigenvalue problems by usingFourier transforms.The MHD equations then become an ordinary differential equation.Thismethod is applicable to both ideal and non-ideal MHD problem.The effect of plasma pressure(P_0)on kink instability is studied in a cylindrical geometry.Complex discrete spectra are presented.Two-dimensional(2D)eigenfunctions with the line-tied boundary conditions are obtained.The growth rate and radial eigenfunctions are different in the two cases of P_0=0 and P_0≠0,which indicate that the effect of plasma pressure can not be ignored if it is large enough.Thismethod allows us to understand the role of individual radial eigenfunctions,and is also computationallyefficient compared to direct solutions of the MHD equations by the finite differencemethod.代玉杰 刘金远 王学慧 2009Plasma Science and Technology2009,11,3:9
17First Engineering Commissioning of EAST Tokamak显示文摘Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak (EAST) is the first fully superconducting tokamak. The first commissioning started on Feb. 1st of 2006 and finished on March 30th of 2006 at the Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. It consists of leakage testing at both room temperature and low temperature, pumping down, cooling down all coils, current leads, bus bar and the thermal shielding, exciting all the coils, measuring magnetic configuration and warming up the magnets. The electromagnetic, thermal hydraulic and mechanical performance of EAST Toroidal Field (TF) and Poloidal Field (PF) magnets have also been tested. 18Analysis of Pulverized Coal by Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy显示文摘Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) has been used to detect atomicspecies in various environments. The quantitative analysis (C, H, O, N and S) of representa-tive coal samples are being carried out with LIBS, and the effects of particle size are analyzed.A powerful pulse Nd:YAG laser is focused on the coal sample at atmosphere pressure, and theemission spectra from laser-induced plasmas are measured by time-resolved spectroscopy, and theintensity of analyzed spectral lines is obtained through observing the laser plasma with a delaytime of 0.4 μs. The experimental results show that the slope of calibration curve is nearly 1 whenthe concentration of the analyzed element is relatively low, and the slope of curve is nearly 0.5when the concentration of C is higher than other elements. 19Primary Investigation into the Laser Triggering Multi-Gap Multi-Channel Gas Switch in a Single Test Module Facility显示文摘A high precision laser trigger system is built up in the single test module of Primary Test Stand (PTS) facility. A fourth harmonic, with a wavelength λ of 266 nm, Q-switched Nd:YAG laser was used to trigger the 5 MV multi-gap multi-channel gas switch which was filled with high pressure SF6-N2 mixture gas. The maximum deviation and the standard deviation in the jitter time of the trigger system is±0.7 ns and 0.3 ns respectively. The maximum deviation and the standard deviation, in the jitter time for the multi-gap multi-channel laser triggering switch is±2.4 ns and 1.5 ns respectively. The curve of switch delay-time versus laser energy is obtained, which is helpful for the choice of fitting laser energy. 20Study of Humidity Effect on Benzene Decomposition by the Dielectric Barrier Discharge Nonthermal Plasma Reactor显示文摘The humidity effects on the benzene decomposition process were investigated by the dielectric barrier discharge(DBD) plasma reactor.The results showed that the water vapor played an important role in the benzene oxidation process.It was found that there was an optimum humidity value for the benzene removal efficiency,and at around 60% relative humidity(RH),the optimum benzene removal efficiency was achieved.At a SIE of 378 J/L,the removal efficiency was 66% at 0% RH,while the removal efficiency reached 75.3% at 60% RH and dropped to 69% at 80% RH.Furthermore,the addition of water inhibited the formation of ozone and NO_2 remarkably.Both of the concentrations of ozone and NO_2 decreased with increasing of the RH at the same specific input energy.At a SIE of 256 J/L,the concentrations of ozone and NO_2 were 5.4 mg/L and 1791 ppm under dry conditions,whereas they were only 3.4 mg/L and 1119 ppm at 63.5%RH,respectively.Finally,the outlet gas after benzene degradation was qualitatively analyzed by FT-IR and GC-MS to determine possible intermediate byproducts.The results suggested that the byproducts in decomposition of benzene primarily consisted of phenol and substitutions of phenol.Based on these byproducts a benzene degradation mechanism was proposed.马天鹏 赵琼 刘建奇 钟方川 2016Plasma Science and Technology2016,18,6:8
