1113-W in-phase mode output from two ytterbium-doped large-core double-cladding fiber lasers显示文摘Phase locking for two ytterbium-doped large-core fiber lasers has been demonstrated by using a self- imaging confocal resonator with a spatial filter.Steady high-contrast interference stripes are observed. 2Geometrically robust image watermarking using scale-invariant feature transform and Zernike moments显示文摘In order to resist geometric attacks,a robust image watermarking algorithm is proposed using scale- invariant feature transform(SIFT)and Zernike moments.As SIFT features are invariant to rotation and scaling,we employ SIFT to extract feature points.Then circular patches are generated using the most robust points.An invariant watermark is generated from each circular patch based on Zernike moments. 3Full distributed fiber optical sensor for intrusion detection in application to buried pipelines显示文摘Based on the microbend effect of optical fiber, a distributed sensor for real-time continuous monitoring of intrusion in application to buried pipelines is proposed. The sensing element is a long cable with a special structure made up of an elastic polymer wire, an optical fiber, and a metal wire. The damage point is located with an embedded optical time domain reflectometry (OTDR) instrument. The intrusion types can be indicated by the amplitude of output voltage. 4Temperature sensor based on PNR in Sagnac interferometer显示文摘A temperature sensor based on polarization non-reciprocity (PNR) in fiber-optic Sagnac interferometer (FSI) was proposed. 5Measurement of large aspheric surfaces by annular subaperture stitching interferometry显示文摘A new method for testing aspheric surfaces by annular subaperture stitching interferometry is introduced. It can test large-aperture and large-relative-aperture aspheric surfaces at high resolution,low cost,and high efficiency without auxiliary null optics.The basic principle of the method is described,the synthetical optimization stitching model and effective algorithm are established based on simultaneous least-square fitting.A hyperboloid with an aperture of 350 mm is tested by this method.The obtained peak-to-valley (PV) and root-mean-square (RMS) values of the surface error after stitching are 0.433λand 0.052λ(λis 632.8 nm),respectively.The reconstructed surface map is coincide with the entire surface map from null test,and the difference of PV and RMS errors between them are 0.031λand 0.005λ,respectively. 7All fiber pulsed coherent lidar development for wind profiles measurements in boundary layers显示文摘An all fiber pulsed coherent Doppler lidar(CDL) system at 1.54 μm wavelength is developed for wind profiles measurements. This lidar affords 43.0-μJ pulse energy at 10-kHz pulse repetition frequency with500-ns pulse width. The lidar is operated in monostatic mode with 50-mm diameter telescope. The heterodyne mixing signals are acquired with 500 M/s analog to digital converter and 2048 points fast Fourier transform(FFT) is implemented. 8Design and performance simulation of a molecular Doppler wind lidar显示文摘A mobile molecular Doppler wind lidar at an eye-safe wavelength of 355 nm based on double-edge technique is being built in Hefei (China) for wind measurement from 10-to 40-km altitude. The structure of this lidar system is described. A triple Fabry-Perot etalon is employed as a frequency discriminator whose parameters are optimized. The receiver system is designed to achieve compactness and stability by putting in a standard 19-inch socket bench. 11Quantum efficiency calibration of opto-electronic detector by means of correlated photons method显示文摘A new calibration method of detectors can be realized by using correlated photons generated in spontaneous parametric down-conversion (SPDC) effect of nonlinear crystal.An absolute calibration system of detector quantum efficiency is performed.And its principle and experimental setup are introduced.A continuous- wave (CW) ultraviolet (351 nm),diode-pumped,frequency-doubled,and solid-state laser is used to pump BBO crystal.The quantum efficiencies of the photomultiplier at 633,702,and 789 nm are measured respectively.The coincidence peaks are observed using coincidence circuit.Some measurement factors including the filter bandwidth of trigger channel,the detector position alignment and polarization of the pump light are analyzed.The uncertainties of this calibration method are also analyzed,and the relative uncertainties of total calibration are less than 5.8%.The accuracy of this method could be improved in the future.李健军 郑小兵 卢云君 邹鹏 张伟 2008Chinese Optics Letters2008,6,7:16
12A high sensitive fiber Bragg grating strain sensor with automatic temperature compensation显示文摘A high sensitive fiber Bragg grating(FBG) strain sensor with automatic temperature compensation is demonstrated.FBG is axially linked with a stick and their free ends are fixed to the measured object.When the measured strain changes,the stick does not change in length,but the FBG does.When the temperature changes,the stick changes in length to pull the FBG to realize temperature compensation.In experiments,1.45 times strain sensitivity of bare FBG with temperature compensation of less than 0.1 nm Bragg wavelength drift over 100 °C shift is achieved.李阔 周振安 2009Chinese Optics Letters2009,7,3:16
13Space optical remote sensor image motion velocity vector computational modeling, error budget and synthesis显示文摘For space optical remote sensor (SORS) with either film or time delay and integrate charge coupled device (TDI-CCD) imaging, in order to achieve higher resolution it requires more accurate real-time image motion compensation. This primarily depends on real-time computation of the image motion velocity vector (IMVV) and error budget and synthesis on related parameters. An effective modeling scheme is introduced and the derivation of IMVV equation, error budget and synthesis by Monte-Carlo method are presented in detail. 14Study on optical wave scattering from slightly Gaussian rough surface of layered medium显示文摘The optical wave scattering from the slightly rough surface of three-layer medium is studied.The formulaes of the scattering coefficients for different polarizations are derived using the small perturbation method. 152D noncarbon materials-based nonlinear optical devices for ultrafast photonics [Invited]显示文摘Ultrafast lasers play an important role in a variety of applications ranging from optical communications to medical diagnostics and industrial materials processing. Graphene and other two-dimensional(2D) noncarbon materials, including topological insulators(TIs), transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDCs), phosphorene, bismuthene, and antimonene, have witnessed a very fast development of both fundamental and practical aspects in ultrafast photonics since 2009. Their unique nonlinear optical properties enable them to be used as excellent saturable absorbers(SAs) that have fast responses and broadband operation, and can be easily integrated into lasers. Here, we catalog and review recent progress in the exploitation of these 2D noncarbon materials in this emerging field. The fabrication techniques, nonlinear optical properties, and device integration strategies of 2D noncarbon materials are first introduced with a comprehensive view. Then, various mode-locked/Q-switched lasers(e.g., fiber, solid-state, disk, and waveguide lasers) based on 2D noncarbon materials are reviewed. In addition, versatile soliton pulses generated from the mode-locked fiber lasers based on 2D noncarbon materials are also summarized. 16Measurement of optical penetration depth and refractive index of human tissue显示文摘Experimental techniques for measurement of optical penetration depth and refractive index of human tissue are presented, respectively. Optical penetration depth can be obtained from the measurement of the relative fluence-depth distribution inside the target tissue. The depth of normal and carcinomatous human lung tissues irradiated with the wavelengths of 406.7, 632.8 and 674.4 nm in vitro are respectively determined. In addition, a novel simple method based on total internal reflection for measuring the refractive index of biotissue in vivo is developed, and the refractive indices of skin from people of different age, sex and skin color are measured. 17A new adaptive nonuniformity correction algorithm for infrared line scanner based on neural networks显示文摘The striping pattern nonuniformity of the infrared line scanner (IRLS) severely limits the system performance. An adaptive nonuniformity correction (NUC) algorithm for IRLS using neural network is proposed. It uses a one-dimensional median filter to generate ideal output of network and can complete NUC by a single frame with a high correction level. Applications to both simulated and real infrared images show that the algorithm can obtain a satisfactory result with low complexity, no need of scene diversity or global motion between consecutive frames. 18Modified adaptive algebraic tomographic reconstruction of gas distribution from incomplete projection by a two-wavelength absorption scheme显示文摘A modified adaptive algebraic reconstruction technique (MAART) with an auto-adjustment relaxation parameter and smoothness regularization is developed to reveal the tomographic reconstruction of H 2 O distribution in combustion from incomplete projections. Determinations of relaxation parameter and regularization factor are discussed with regard to the consideration of improvement in reconstruction and reduction of computational burden. A two-wavelength scheme from tunable diode laser absorption measurement, 7444.36 and 7185.59 cm 1 , is used to simplify the nonlinear solution problem for obtaining the tomographic distributions of concentration and temperature simultaneously. Results of calculations demonstrate that MAART can perform the reconstruction results more efficiently with little complex modification and much lower iterations as compared with the traditional algebraic reconstruction technique (ART) or simultaneous iterative reconstruction technique (SIRT) methods. 19Angle-tuned signal-resonated optical parametric oscillator based on periodically poled lithium niobate显示文摘We demonstrate an angle-tuned signal-resonated optical parametric oscillator (OPO) with periodically poled lithium niobate (PPLN) pumped by a diode-pumped Nd:YVO4 laser. 1499.8 - 1506.6 nm of signal wavelength is achieved at 140°C by rotating a 29-μm period PPLN from 0° - 10.22° in the x-y plane while keeping the pump wave vertical to the resonator mirrors. Two pairs of the signal and idler waves of the same wavelengths can be achieved symmetrically for each pair of angles of rotation with same absolute value and opposite sign. Theoretical analyses on angle-tuned PPLN-OPO with pump wave vertical to the resonator mirrors are presented and in good agreement with our experimental results. 20Determining particle size distribution and refractive index in a two-layer tissue phantom by linearly polarized light显示文摘We report a new method for measuring particle size distribution (PSD) and refractive index of the top layer in a two-layer tissue phantom simulated epithelium tissue by varying the azimuth angle of incident linearly polarized light. The polarization gating technique is used to decouple the single and multiple scattering components in the returned signal. The theoretical model based on Mie theory is presented and a nonlinear inversion method - floating genetic algorithm - is applied to inverting the azimuth dependence of component of polarization light backscattered. The experiment results demonstrate that the size distribution and refractive index of the scatters of the top layer can be determined by measuring and analyzing the differential signal of the parallel and perpendicular components from a two-layer tissue phantom.
